Happy New Year
2007 a new chapter, a new beginning, etc. In 2005, my DH and I decided it was time to “downsize and simplify” (those were my buzz words for that year) – we eliminated a lot of physical and mental clutter. In 2006 my DH decided to retire and start enjoying life on a daily basis without physical and mental stress. The decisions we made in 2005 and 2006 were huge and were THE right decisions for us. I’m looking forward to this new year – how much better can it get? It’s all about attitude, isn’t it?
My life is in a good place, so now I need to focus on myself. I spent most of December 31 contemplating and thinking about the things that I enjoy doing and why. It’s very obvious to me that I’ve been spending too much time just doing and failing to enjoy the process. It simply wasn’t fun anymore. What???? Oh, I could go on and on but I won’t bore you with my brattle. With a happy heart I am looking forward to new goals and plans for projects in 2007. I have a long list of projects and such but I’m going to work on making it a more realistic list – I don’t want to set myself up to fail.
And, on a final note, deciding to enter Blogland was such a significant decision in 2006 – I’ve made so many wonderful friends and found a ton of inspiration. It was a good decision – thank you so much for accepting me and providing me with hours of enjoyment.
According to my friend, Nadine in Belgium they say "A Happy Ending, A Wonderful Beginning" (need I say more?)

Ah yes, realistic goals and enjoying the process - a lesson we all need to learn over and over again. Best wishes for a joyful 2007.
Oh Nadine's saying is wonderful! And I"m also thankful for your blog!
Nope - Nadine said it perfectly. I'm so glad one of your 2006 goals was to start blogging!

You are such a nice person, Darlene ! How lucky I am to be your friend ! This modern world can sometimes be rude, but it brings so many good things too, like good and friendly women, all over the world, who can communicate, help and encourage each other, through the web, while making blankets of love - like in the old times !
Just like you, I would never have imagined finding so many wonderful ladies, when I opened my blog !
Bug hugs & smiles,
NADINE.
Hey, we're on the same page! :o)
Happy New Year, Darlene!
Seems as though many of us have come to the conclusion that we should be enjoying more.....
I hope to follow your footsteps in the process of getting rid of things.
