Having Fun

I sewed and sewed and then came to a screeching halt. I need more 5” charm squares to make more 16 patches. So I’ve quickly placed an order and now will wait for Mr. Postman to bring my little package.

Here’s a sneak peek at my 16 patches with framed 4 patches – next week I’ll show you the finished quilt.

edit: the blocks are set on-point

Oh Darlene, that is a bummer! Your concept for the way you have put those 16 patch blocks together is just brilliant. I am kicking myself for not buying that fabric group! Your quilt is going to be the best!

oh I LOVE that setting! Mind if I borrow that for my next Quilt of Valor? I just hit my local Hancocks that is going out of business. I stocked up on some neutrals and reds/blues. Time to plan the next quilt!

Oh, my friend, this is another WINNER ! You were so inspired with this setting ! (I wish I had "light bulbs" like yours ! LOL). The quilt is so fresh, and in the meantime it has that "oldie", romantic look, that we love ! BRAVO !

Biiig hugs & smiles,

I love this fabric - I bought four pack of squares about a month ago. I think I know what to do with them but it is great to see your plan. I am not a pink person but I just love that pink. Can't wait to your finished quilt.

Great use for those charm packs that we all get so addicted to. I love your choice of fabrics. I am inspired to do something with my charm pack rather than just admire them like they are some sort of trophy...(LOL)

Hi Darlene :-)
I have not been very good at commenting lately, but I have enjoyed your blog. Today I went back and read again all from January and February.
So many lovely quilts you have in the making!
I feel like starting 4-patches right away. Thanks for a smart tutorial. I like all the different blocks you have going. The rabbit quilt is to die for :-)
You do outstanding and beautiful work on all you do!
Very belated happy anniversary for me too!

I hate when that happens-running out of fabric to finish a quilt. At least you are making a charm quilt, you don't have to hunt forever looking to match one exact fabric.

Oh, I LOVE how this is looking! Simply marvelous! Those 40's prints are just too much fun!

I'm a charmaholic and love seeing what's being done with them, and this one you did really floats my boat!
