Taking a few minutes this morning to spend some time with all of you and share some of what's been keeping me busy. Get comfortable this is a long post! :-)
My friends Barb and Mary of Me and My Sister Designs are preparing for Spring Market coming up mid-May in Portland, OR. They have four adorable charm patterns called Amanda, Bertha, Charlotte and Dora and in preparation for "School House" at Market we've been making a bunch of these charm quilts. I've lost count of the number I've made (pieced and quilted). Yes, they are cute but when you make more than 10+ of each they are not so cute. LOL
I have pictures of two of them and I'll try to remember to get pictures of the other two.
This one is Dora (approx 28" x 28").
This one is Charlotte (approx 32" x 32").
When I drop into my spot on the couch in the evenings to watch the Diamondbacks I've been working on more Polka Dot Girls blocks.

Oh no!!!!! Don't kill the wabbits! They were only being nice!
The quilts are gorgeous. Are they planning on design 26 of them - one for each letter of the alphabet? I noticed these are titled A - D.
I'm worried for the wabbits! Should I call the ASPCA? *s*
LOLOL....I hope you enjoy your dinner....
You are too funny...wabbit stew...haha.
Wow 10 quilts, that's not so fun. Take a good break and get well rested.
The PGG's are really nice all done in red, can't wait to see that quilt done.
Those quilts are wonderful and you are really something...10 of the same one...you'll need a vacation when the girls head off to Market. Your Polka Dot girls are so cute...
Thimbles and Joy....RUN! RUN as fast as you can! LOL!
OH NO not Wabbit Stew!!! Those poor poor little bunnies lolol!!!! Your little quilts are soooo cute!! Of course I am partial to the Swell :) Thanks for showing us what you've been working on...you know I've been wanting to know :)
I'm glad one of us is productive! ;o) Lovely quilts. What's with the Wabbit stew? Are you expecting Elmer Fudd? Geez, you'd think he'd be bringing his own wabbits "Shhhhhhhh, be vewwwy, vewwwy quiet; I'm hunting wabbits, heheheheheheh" Those poor little wabbits! I cannot imagine eating wabbit stew! Keep sane!
I think it looks more like a wabbit hot tub, they are both still smiling.
I really like Charlotte - but it's those cheerful colors especially, and the neat inner border insert. Pretty.
Yes, the little buggers entertained us in your absence --NO, NO, don't put them in the stew!!!
Darlene! As Thimbles birth mother -- we're going to have to talk! You are allowed to put pins in the poor dear -- but boiling??? Don't make me call Bunny Protective Services on you!!! ROFLOL!!!! Great job on the little quilts!
That's it! I'm coming on wabbit wescue!!!
The charm quilts are adorable, I think my pincushions are going to market again this year too!
Well I'm sure it was Miss Thimble that got Joy in the hot pot. I have to agree with Anna, no wabbit stew, not poor Joy...... oh and Thimbles. No wonder you've been pooped, all that stitching....
Looking forward to the next installment when Joy and Thimbles tell how they escaped from being "stewed". BTW the quilts are cute. You're motivating me to get back to work (aka quilting).
Poor Thimble and Joy! They do look a bit mischevious to me. I love your samples, especially "Dora". Did you use full-size charms (5"), or did you cut them in quarters, then sew?
I enjoy your blog.
Thanks for the wabbit stew giggle!
You have been busy indeed...more than 10 a day?!?!?!? They are really cute.
Oh noooooooo - wabbit stew?!? You wouldn't!! Still, they are very cute sitting in the pot together! They'll get even with you, you realize!
I love the quilts you're working on - they are both adorable! I'm sure they get ugly real fast when making 10.
I cannot believe how productive you are these days - I need to get busy like that, too! You go girl, but please take care of yourself.
H'moosies to yousies!!!!
glad to see you have a sense of humor in your busy time with market!
hopefully your not too stressed out.
the quilts look great...
keep smiling its almost over!
Kathie
Love your update! Especially the part about what's for dinner LOL!
I'm going to be able to attend Spring Market in Portland - can hardly wait! - so I'll be sure to stop by your friends booth to say hello. And see the samples you've made for them - they will be there in the booth, right?
Really enjoying using my pin cushion - you are such a sweet, kind, generous soul!
Dora and Charlotte are very cute. I love the colors used in Charlotte.
Yikes thats lots of quilts you have been working on. I think you need a little break. Been loving having Thimbles and Joy stepping in and taking over the blog for a few posts and sharing their views - it's a hoot.
Hugs - Karen
Mmmm... wabbit stew. Tastes like chicken!
If I'm ever at a potluck with you, be assured I'll be doing some poking around in the dish looking for poly-fill!
