Gifts for you and for me! :-)

I'm finally here with winners of my little "Can we talk" drawing! Thank you for your patience.

Without further ado - here are the winners:

Paula - A Latte Quilts
Teresa - Stitchin Friends
Sweet P - Coffee Time Stitches
Lurline - Lurline's Place
Julia - Little Girl Quilts

Please send an e-mail with your mailing address and I'll pop a little surprise in the mail ASAP!

This week the postman brought packages with surprise gifts for me.

Nan sent the sweet Snowman door hanger and there was a sweet scissor fob, too but I failed to include it in the picture. Duh! Nan remembered that I love Kim Diehl designs and knew I'd love this little fella! She's absolutely right - I love him! Thank you for remembering! :-) Thank you so much, Nan for thinking me during this holiday season! You've touched my heart - you're a true friend.

And, then there was this BIG box from Carol. The tape was removed and inside I found this.....

Wrapped in the 'cute beyond words' tissue was this........

And then I removed the bow and found this...................
wait for it
here it comes
LOL
I was stunned, surprised, speechless (that doesn't happen very often - LOL) and had tears in my eyes! I will love and enjoy this beauty for years to come. Carol, thank you so much for this gift from your heart - how do I ever thank you? I appreciate your friendship - you, too are a true friend.

I had a rough week - demands made on my time that I just wasn't willing to give. How many times do I have to say "I'm on vacation". It's been very stressful so receiving these gifts from two lovely ladies was exactly what the doctor ordered. :-)
I'm diligently working on my comfort/hug quilts for my friends. My sewing machine and I have become "One" - LOL!!! Quilt #2 and Quilt #3 are pieced and will be quilted and bound immediately. Have to make a decision on Quilt #4 but I'm sure I'll think of something. Patti asked me how I could possibly give four quilts made in time for Christmas - focus and determination will help me. :-)
Thank you so much for popping in to visit - please come again!

Lucky you - what a wonderful quilt. Love those fabrics!

I have a snowman door hanger like that - I just love him. He hangs on my sewing door knob all year. One of our outgoing guild presidents made these for her whole board as her thank you - I was so glad I was on the board that year!

Oh I am so sorry that this week didn't turn out to be just your time to sew.
I figured you were busy, busy, busy sewing all week. Sorry to hear that wasn't the case,
I am sure knowing you that you will be in production mode this week.
Have a great week and turn off that phone!

I just had to stop in and say how delightful it is to see the strong bond between quilters. It is so wonderful when people who have never met each other can feel like life long friends. Quilting is the blessing I discovered just last March when I was told by my doctorthat he didn't anticipate any relief on the horizon for my Scleroderma. After receiving this news, my sister in law introduced me to quilting and it changed my entire outlook on life. I found that when sit down to sew, I lose myself totally in the task at hand. I'm still new, and slow at it but I can sew for hours and never realize that my body is crying out for pain relief, because it isn't. My focus is on the cutting, pressing, sewing and the delightful (well, most of the time, lol) results as the blocks come together, then grow into something larger and beautiful and oh so warm, for both the body and the soul. Quilters hold a special bond and after reading your post, and seeing the beautiful gifts that you know came from heart as well as hands, I am so greatful to belong to the ranks of true quilters. Which by the way, I can finally claim because I finished my very first quilt just last week, a king sized bedspread in the Amish Star Spin pattern that will be lovinging placed on my bed tonight, Christmas Eve. I will finally know the feeling of climbing under a lovely, if not perfect quilt that I made. Though I have to use a machine to piece my quilts as my hands don't work for hand sewing anymore, the feeling of accomplishment is amazing to me. Thank you so much for sharing the pictures of your beautiful gifts and the quilts you have made. Now I have rambled more than enough to make everyones eyelids drop so I'll just close now. But thanks for listening.
In Friendship,
Nancy Jo (not really anonymous, I just can't remember my password...a senior moment, sorry.
