Raggedy & Friends

We have a winner!!!! Carol from Brown Quilts 4 Me - come on down!!!!

Do you know Kaaren at The Painted Quilt? She's one of the most talented bloggers around - I sit in awe of her talent. Sigh! :-) She designed and made the cutest Raggedy & Friends quilt and starting today is offering it as a free BOM on her blog. I was so excited when she announced it and couldn't wait for July 20. teehee There will be a new block or blocks on the 20th of every month until April 2011. SWEET!!!! :-)

I've downloaded and printed the first two blocks with plans to trace later today. I'm anxious to start stitching. :-)

I'm looking for someone to be my "Raggedy Friend". I plan to start stitching this sweet project for me and a "Raggedy Friend".
Are you interested?

Leave a comment telling me why you'd like to be my "Raggedy Friend". Bear in mind that you're all my "Raggedy Friends" but only one of you can get the stitchery blocks. :-)
*

I'll draw someone's name Wednesday, July 21.

In Friendship!

P.S. I don't do perfect stitchery but I do enjoy it. I've been stitching the Snowbound free BOM by Bunny Hill Designs since January for Terry & Kelly and they seem to be pleased with my work. :-)

Your stitching is as close to perfect as I've ever seen Darlene! I'm thrilled with my Snowbound blocks. And please don't include me in this giveaway. Not that I wouldn't love these blocks, but because I've already been a winner! :0)

Isn't that just the cutest, cutest ever. Hmmm, maybe Hampton and Camden need to share this quilt. You are incredibly sweet to share your wonderful talents...oh these will make someone so very happy!

Oh I would love to be your Raggedy Friend!
I've loved Annie, and Andy, since I was a child and had this big handme down Annie doll.

I used to have a large set of these dolls...they were so so cute! Put me in the hat to be your raggedy friend!

I would love to be your Raggedy friend because it would be a huge honor to say I had blocks made by you.

Heck....I'm a friend and about now Raggedy I reckon! Wow..this would be fantastic if you did the stitchery and all I had to to was set them in a quilt later....oh dear, would Kaaren be upset with me for not finding the time to do them myself? She'll get over it! Hee!

Pick me...pick me!!!
I won't be doing this project (unless my resolve disappears!) since I will not allow myself to start another stitchery block until my 'Journey of a Quilter' is finished. I just wish I didn't love hand quilting and hand beading so much and then I'd have more time for stitcheries...ugh...why are there only 24 hours in a day?!?!?!

Ohhh I'm quite raggedy some days - and very raggedy other days - so I'd love to be your raggedy friend. I just adore Raggedy Ann and Andy - our oldest daughter's whole bedroom was done with RA and RA when she was in kindergarten - I still have the dresser with them decoupaged on the front. Cute Cute.

I've always had a thing for Raggedy's, and would love the opportunity to be your raggedy friend! I'm still a novice quilter, and haven't tried my hand at stitchery yet.

I want to be your Raggedy Friend. Although I'm capable of doing the stitching I'm over-extended already with projects and I didn't know where I would find time for this cute BOM. Your so sweet to make one of us your Raddedy friend.

Kaaren designs the prettiest stitchery, doesn't she? You're so sweet and thoughtful to work on two blocks at a time (for two projects at a time!) That's why you have so many friends, raggedy or not. :)

It doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. Not sure where I first heard that but it has become a mantra. We are our worst critics, but your work is beautiful, and thank you for sharing.

I would love to be your Raggedy Friend Darlene. Kaaren's BOM is so cute and I would love to make this for my new granddaughter, but am so slow at embroider, I don't think I'm going to tackle it myself. You are so kind and generous!
P.S. Bliss Between Friends is LOOKING GOOD!

I would love to be your Raggedy Friend too! yeah, I could stitch them too, but with trying to remove wall paper and paint and then move, I would be so behind that I probably wouldn't do them~ and I have the perfect little dolls that need a Raggedy Ann and Andy quilt! :-o Thanks for the fun! :-)

I'm your friend and could be a Raggedy friend too! I thought about doing Kaaren's stitcheries and decided it was too much, her designs are just so amazing. Raggedy friend or not, you are still my friend :-)

I'd love to be your raggedy friend. I keep looking at the blocks, but I know my stitching is not up to it. Please put my name in the hat, bowl, random number thingy, or whatever.
