Can't think of a snappy title!

I've spent the past three weeks adjusting to changes in my every day life. The first two weeks I was one very tired woman - every part of my body hurt (alot). LOL It happened so suddenly but I feel it was simply meant to be. It literally fell in my lap and it's become more than I anticipated. :-) What? I've gone back to work and it quickly became full-time employment. LOL I used to have a very good career in Human Resources and over the past 10 years I've made some very bad career decisions - those details aren't important. LOL*
I'm off today and tomorrow and couldn't wait to get into my sewing room this morning. This is the first time I've felt like sewing in quite awhile and I had tons of fun. I found myself smiling most of the day and I know my heart was singing. lalalalalalalala!!!!!! While I was working on the project du jour I was thinking, "maybe I'll work on this one for awhile and then I'll pull out a new one....wait there's that other project, too". Serious silliness!
*
So here's how I spent my day...................
*
I added the 30's prints around my October, November and December Annie stitcheries. Aren't they sweet? :-)
Speaking of redwork embroidery - please take a few minutes to visit Debbie at Busy As Can Be - she has a new adorable freebie. Feel free to tell her I sent you. :-)
Then I decided it was time to play with my Charlevoix prints. I am seriously smitten with this line of fabric by Minick & Simpson/Moda and have two quilts planned.

Summer Dreamin' on the Moda Bake Shop blog looked appealing so today I made 9 of the 20 blocks. I plan to tweak the pattern a little so stay tuned. I think it's going to be a terrific summer quilt. By the way the blocks are just tossed on my design wall - that's not my planned layout.
I hope you're still visiting - I do plan to be around more often.

That's nice Darlene. I hope you like your new job. Is it still in the Human Resources field? Very cute quilt blocks. It's so nice to hear from you again.
Oh, Darlene! I bet you were so happy to get into the sewing room today! I'm happy that you got to sew and that you had such a good time!
Good luck with the new job - life changes like that take some getting use to. Glad you had some sewing time - you were quite productive. Love the blocks using the Charlevoix prints. Happy stitching-
So that's where you've been hiding! I can just imagine how tired you must be adjusting to full time employment. Hopefully the transition will be a smooth one and that you'll allow ample time to fill your creative needs in your 'down' time.
I missed you and your posts. Welcome back!
Welcome back. You will get over the tiredness and soon I am sure you'll find a way to fit more sewing into your life again.

Best wishes with your new job. I like to consider my sewing/quilting full-time free "employment." Looks like you got right down to work sewing on your days off. Very sweet stitcheries.
YIPPEE! You're back! :) I can hear your heart singing!
Congrats on the new position. Good to see that you are finding a nice work/quilting balance.
Full time work. That will seriously cut into your sewing time but seems like it has got you back in the sewing groove regardless. Stitch to your heart's content! I have missed you.
Glad you're back...and congrats on the job! Definitely will fill some of those sewing hours, you'll find a way. I love sewing after a long day at work...very cathartic.
I did miss you! Glad to hear you have a new adventure ahead of you...you never know with these big life decisions, but hope that everything works out well.
Just love those stitchery blocks!
It is so good to see your smiling self pop up in the ethers, Darlene ! I miss you. With your return to the outside-work world, I sure hope Mr Daze is in the kitchen and doing some housework !
Big hug, sweetie. Hoping for the very best for the 2 of you
Congratulations on your new job! I can't wait to hear all about it. That's definitely a life-changing development, but you'll be back in the groove before you know it. So glad you're blogging again! Your stitchery blocks look so cute with the fabric borders. And Summer Dreamin' is too cute!
Glad to see you in Blogland, Darlene. As many have said, we have missed you.
Your sewing time was obviously happily spent.
Hugs.
Congrats on your new endeavor! I remember when you were in HR back when we "met" as cross stitchers. Glad you are enjoying this new opportunity that has come your way!
Life is full of changes, and it sounds like you are making some good adjustments. Love love the little stitcheries. I need to check out that line of fabric, it looks so sweet.
Congratulations on your new job! It's overwhelming to go to a new job, but you'll figure out how to juggle it all pretty quick. Good to have you back blogging again! It sounds like you have a lot of quilting plans!
Welcome back, and congrats on the new position. It will take some time to adjust, and figure out those "sewing times". Love your Charlevoix blocks- very fresh and pretty!
Oh wow, back to work. I bet it has taken soem time for yruo body to get used to that again. It sounds like you are liking it.
Your embroidery is wonderful and I love the blocks you've made. I'm sure quilting will be even more of a creative outlet for you now.
Wow - what a big change. Did they have you lifting bales of cotton to make you so sore and achey?
Lovely quilts and projects, glad you had so much fun. And welcome back - we've missed you.
I chuckled when I read this - when I first started working at a sewing machine shop [Viking], I came home after a week and put all my sewing stuff away. I was far too tired to even look at it. Took me a month or two to pull it all back out!
I'm glad you got to spend some time sewing, your raggedy blocks look so darling with the 30's prints, and I love the new blocks too. Have fun!
Full time work, that is a huge adjustment! Does that mean that Mr. Daze is able to retire cuz you are the breadwinner now--my husband's fondest wish--LOL?
Glad to see your mojo is rising and lots of adorable and beautiful fabrics are passing under your needle once again.
So good to hear from you! Your stitching is lovely - thanks for all the pictures. Congrats on starting a new work adventure - may it be exactly what you want and need it to be!
How much fun!! I am glad for your new career move, I hope it is wonderful for you!!
How exciting - so glad you're back. And welcome to the "working full time outside the home but would rather be sewing club"!!!! Have a great day.
O' Happy Day!
You're back! Your mojo is back! And you're happy. That's as good a trifecta as one that pays a bazillion dollars. :)
Welcome back! I've been missing you! Love your blocks and stitchings! Have a good week!
Congratulations on your job! I may have to find myself one soon. Your blocks all look great! :0)
Don't be too tough on yourself, it's taken me almost a year to work out some sort of routine.
I am so glad to see you back. I know how hard it is to work full time and still get our sewing in!
Of course, we're still visiting. I'm also trying to get over "those changes in life" that you speak of. Same story, a different chapter, but we all keep a'goin'!
Congratulations on your new job! They are hard to come by.
But, we are very glad to have you back and it looks like you haven't lost a step in your absense. We'll all be running to keep up with you.
What fun projects! Can't wait to get a peek of that Summer Dreamin'.
Hope you are having fun at your new job!
Well, at least you will have more money for more fabric!! And the time in your sewing room will be that much more precious.....
So glad you are back.....we missed you!!!! The HAPPY just jumps off your blog post, and look at all the sewing you got done! Love that Summer Dreamin'!!

Congratulations on your new job! Sure do miss reading your posts. Love your version of Summer Dreamin'. I'll have to print the pattern from the Bake Shop. Take care!
Hope you are doing well. Love the projects you are working on.
Good luck to you. Life always brings new seasons and changes, but somehow we find the time to do what we really love. That's what keeps us sane. :o)

Just love what you are doing with your Charlevoix fabric. I too fell in love with this line of fabric. I am making the Chippewa 9patch. LOTS of little pieces. It was the yellow floral I really fell in love with.
Yes, going back to work is "work"..LOL...wish you the best.
It is so good to see you again, Darlene! Love your new Annie Blocks. Happy Quilting!
Oh boy, back to full time work. What an adjustment I am sure you have had to make.
Glad to see you are back to sewing and blogging.
Welcome back.
