This Is It!

*
Over a week since I posted - what's up with that? LOL Nothing interesting to post about - all I've managed to accomplish is the stitching on this flour sack towel. Oh, I had grand plans to sew; instead I've been sitting like a vegetable on the couch. Abeit, sometimes it was a vegetable holding a stitching hoop. LOL I do have a teeny tiny excuse - my allergies have been wreaking havoc and I've been feeling extremely tired. It's just that time of the year! Ugh!!! * This cute design is by Debbie at Busy As Can Be - it was really fun to stitch. I'm very lazy about tracing embroidery designs; since I discovered Transfer-Eze I've been a happy stitcher. Just makes life so much easier for complex embroidery designs. I had used every sheet of Transfer-Eze and while perusing Bird Brain Designs I discovered printable "Sticky Fabric-Solvy" by Sulky and decided to give it a try. I do like it very much and I feel sure it'll rinse off as easily as Transfer-Eze does. You can see it's still attached to my flour sack towel.
I feel the need to say

*

"I'm just here to sew, share & make friends."

*

Enjoy your week - sewing, sharing & making friends!

*

In Friendship!

It's okay....really. You've had a major life change and it will take a while to get in a groove. As long as you don't lose your quilting mojo again (remember to look under the bathroom sink, if you do! LOL) you will be just fine. Even with me not working away from home, I still find myself asleep on the couch with a project in my hand!

I'm a big fan of Transfer-Eze too. Your embroidery turned out great!

Darling design. Yes, it's allergy season and that's never fun.

Love the embroidery! Thanks for the link to Debbie's blog. Would love to stitch her designs too.
Hope the allergies lighten up on you. Take care :-)

What a sweet design! Every stitch in one more than you had done a minute ag. Don't be too hard on yourself- life changes and allergies can knock the stuffing out of any of us. Take care and rest up --happy stitching!

Your stitchery is very cute! I keep thinking of trying transfer-eze but I haven't yet. Seems a lot easier than tracing!

I just bought several sheets of Transfer-Eze after seeing someone use it at the quilt show. She was also using some fusible piece of Fabric in the back of the embroidery piece - Do you use that too? I didn't pick that up but I'm thinking I should have.

Hope your allergies don't keep you down for long.

Oh that is cute! I got the pattern, but haven't stitched it yet. I did her stacking cups a while back. Isn't it silly that we all feel the need to add disclaimers to our blogs now? I hope we can get back to 'normal' again, I love sharing freely. Have a great week!

Love your stitching Darlene...! I find I am sometimes asleep on the couch very early in the evening...usually with a stitching hoop in my lap! Hope the allergies lighten up! I guess they are enjoying the Spring weather as well. Beautiful autumn weather here....cool mornings/evenings with sunny days.....yum!

You know Darlene, it's your blog party and you can post when you want to! *G* Your loyal followers will be right here when you do. I'm so sorry you're suffering from allergies - my youngest son does too, it's just awful. Your tea towel is just gorgeous, and thanks for the tip about the Solvy! I still have to try it, I'm lazy about tracing patterns too, lol!

Sometimes less is more, your "I'm just here to sew, share & make friends" speaks volumes!

We don't have spring yet, but I am dealing with the allergies, what's up with that! I thought folks moved to Arizona to escape all that allergy nonsense!

Great stitchery! Love the design. I know how you feel regarding the allergies - I have them too. I will save a tissue just for you.
Change can take a lot of energy. But as soon as you are in a routine, it will go better. Just hang in there a little while longer.

What a cute stitchery...let us know how the Solvy works when it comes time to wash it out. Oh I just love not having to trace. Your statement speaks volumes...sewing, sharing and making friends...oh if everyone would just keep that in mind.
Boo on those allergies...that is no fun at all...please take good care!

cute embroidery pattern. I am a fan of TransferEze too. But I would like to know how you compare the Sulky product to the TransferEze. I also back my embroidery wiath a Pellon knit fusible and with the 2 products, I don't have to use a hoop. I wrote about this on my blog. I really have been enjoying embroidery again lately....so many cute patterns now. Hope you are feeling better..

That's a great stitchery..I have never tried Transfer-Eze. Think I will have to pick some up. Another thing we have in common..allergies and the heat thing :-)!!!!
