A Snicker & A Giggle

Last night as I was shutting things down in my sewing room I noticed my trash can; the one on the floor to the left of my sewing machine; the one that catches everything while I'm sewing. I'm sure you have one too. I couldn't help but snicker and giggle - lots of cute snippets of fabric and the very important Starburst wrappers. :-)

Bet if you glance in your sewing room trash can you'll snicker and giggle too. :-)

Take a look - I dare you! LOL

I hope you're having a wonderful week end. I plan to add more snicker & giggle stuffus to my trash can today.

In Friendship

with a snicker & a giggle!

Oooooo look at all those snippets that would be a paper piecers dream! LOL Hey...just looked in my trash and see wads of thread, wrappers from Sew Fine Spools and strips torn from mailers....not near as fun as yours! Have fun sewing today!

hehe! M&M's don't have wrappers. I do like to look at all the little fabric tidbits though. I actually get sad when dh empties that trash can.

Mine has lots of wool selvages and threads from piecing. If I weren't trying to cut back on the sweets, it would have lots of caramel creme (bulls-eye) candy wrappers!

Forget the starburst wrappers...all I saw when I looked at the picture was all of those wonderful little triangles that could be made into something wonderful! Those would definitely NOT be trash at my house LOL.

My snickers and giggles tend to be more of the chocolate variety!

My husband's birthday gift is in my waste basket. Our grandson came on a surprise visit and I didn't want him to play with the little square box and drop it and break the coffee mug that is in it (with pictures of the three grandsons on the coffee mug)- so I slipped it into the waste basket. He loves to play with boxes!

The next day Don said he had taken all the trash out before the garbage man came and I panicked - but fortunately he didn't take out the trash in my studio. Guess I had better find a better hiding place - but his party is tomorrow so I think I'm safe.

I have two cans........one for all the fabric snippets that are smaller than a 1.5" square, I use them to stuff pincushions, cat pillows, dog beds etc.... then the other can is just that trash that isn't fabric related, unless you call the receipts related. That one is actually a 4 foot tall box that a book shelf came in almost a year ago, it is tucked into a corner, and it still isn't full even though I have been cleaning and organizing every since then.

I'm thinking those snippets of yours looks like ones from a certain new fabric line??? :-)

Oh what cute snippets!~ I wouldn't be trashing them ;-) Maybe that is why I always have such a mess. LOL It looks to me like you are doing some secret sewing fun! I'm thinking that is a new fabric line? Lucky you! Have a happy day!

There's no telling what you would find in my little trash can that sits beside my sewing table ;-)

Mmmm...Starburst! What made me smile was that the trash even looked star-like. All those triangles. If the colors had just been slightly different you would have had a trash can of stars. But, the nice thing about being a quilter is that even your trash is pretty in its own way. Can't wait to see what you came up with.

I think I may just have some choccy wrappers in my bin too along with snippets and a ton of thread that's spilled out onto the floor.

It's like the scraps grow. Dark chocolate m & m's.... Life's necessity...no wrappers required....
