Obsessed or Possessed?
Scrap Jar Stars
My Scrap Jar Stars project is officially a flimsy!
Thank you sooooo much for all your input and suggestions regarding how many blocks I should make. :-) I appreciate your help.
I decided to do a 5 x 6 layout for two reasons (1) I already had pieces/parts cut and ready to go (2) Mr Daze seldom gives me his opinion on any quilt, other than to cheer me on, and he really thought this quilt should be a rectangle. I wanted to show him I cared about his opinion and I'm glad I did. I LOVE this quilt! LOL
I'm not sure whether I was obsessed or possessed by this project. Maybe both. LOL I had so much fun working on this quilt and need to thank Karin for the inspiration and light bulb moment. :-)

I made this quilt with 40 different Pam Kitty Morning fat eighths and reserved 40 - two inch strips to make a scrappy binding. Need to decide on backing soon because I'm anxious to quilt this baby. :-)
Please visit Amber at A Little Bit Biased to see her quilt and tutorial. Karin is working on hers with blues and reds; Staci is doing hers with Vintage Modern prints; Leanne (picture here) made one with beautiful scraps and Carol is going to start working on hers very soon. And, YOU? LOL
Enjoy a pieceful day and thank you so much for visiting with me!

I LOVE IT! I am so glad you had enough fabric to make a bed sized quilt. It will be used and enjoyed every day. Well done!
Gorgeous! This design is going on my to-do list.
Love, love, love it! Already saved this pattern to my favorites!
Very pretty! Love it!
Your quilt is so absolutely gorgeous...this is one pattern I am adding to my 'to do' list....thanks for the inspiration!
I am in love! This is such a cute pattern and your PKM fabrics makes it just adorable!!!
Well that ole Karin, dared me to do one star..........and I took up her dare and was going to multiply it by 9, thinking 9 would be a super picnic size for 2 little girls........through series of not counting, carefree mindless cutting sessions, mixed with mindless sewing sessions, (way too many units and not enough units. lol)and then a little more cutting and more sewing with counting involved this time, (lol!!!) after saturday night I have 2, yes TWO, 9 block picnic quilt tops. Will try to snap a picture of them and blog next few days. It's just as well, the two little girls I mentioned are cousins, not sisters, and now each will have one at their own house. But it's Karin's fault, LOL!!!
I love it. I TOTALLY LOVE IT.
Oh poo I forgot the most important part. I wanted to say I LOVE the colors you chose...THESE COLORS ARE EVEN BETTER!! Scrap jar quilts are so addictive, and with big blocks.........
I think I'll be cutting again real soon, followed by sewing.......smiles all around

I LOVE your flimsy & can't wait to see it quilted. You did a wonderful job. I have enough of those PKM fabrics in my stash & I have already printed off that tutorial. Just what I need, to start another project with so many flimsies waiting to be quilted! LOL This one is hard to resist though. Thanks for sharing.

Very fresh & beautiful, I really love it !
WOw, your scrap jars quilt is absolutely beautiful. Did you enjoy making it, I loved doing mine. How will you quilt it?
It's always good to let the Hubby know we acknowledge and appreciate them. It softens the blow next time we walk in with a big bag of fabric! Great job ...
I can see that this would be a good scrap busting pattern. It would be fun to get to see your version up close and personal to study all the fabrics.
Yum, so crisp and clean looking!
It is prettier each time I look at it - it seems to be calling my name - but I don't want to start any more quilts - I don't want to - I don't want to - I don't wan. . . .
So nice and soft looking just love it!
Darlene, it is fabulous. I have enjoyed watching your progress. Well done.

I want that quilt!!! It is gorgeous!!
Well someone has certainly been putting the pedal to the metal lately! Look at you go! I love it! You just zoomed past Staci and me. We've both been away and have been having fits with blogger and the Internet. I am falling farther and farther behind in my blog reading and I hate to miss anything! :) Honestly, Darlene, PKM is perfect for this pattern. Now I may have to make more blocks too because I have this thing about bigger quilts!
Darlene...you are killing me!! I just spent a wonderful hour visiting all the links you posted! AND now I am going to HAVE to start this quilt because I LOVE it! No wonder you were obsessed...now I have caught it!
I love this!! You always make such amazing quilts. I need to read more about the scrap jar stars and exploring the links, although it may get me in trouble!
Congratulations! It looks so great! I love PKM! Do you care if I put a picture of it on my blog?
