My Beau

During the Christmas holiday season I have a Beau - my gingerbread guy and friends who reside in my kitchen.  :-)

I started this little wall hanging last year but didn't get around to appliqueing the Gingerbread Boy until a couple of weeks ago.  Wow, my applique skills are very, very rusty.  Yesterday I finally took the time to do some very simple quilting and sew down the binding.

I added his eyes this morning but I can't seem to locate the red heart shaped buttons I purchased at Joann's recently.  I obviously put them in a safe place - safe from me.  grrrr

I'm going to hang him in my kitchen and add the buttons as soon as I find them.

I hope you're enjoying pieceful days.!

In Friendship!

OH...He is soooo cute!!! By the way, I put some new boxes of nice long quilting straight pins (the ones with the little flowers on top) in a safe place a while back where knew I would remember them. I'm trying to get some extra pin cushions for myself made as I gave all of mine away and only have one, LOL. BUT, I got one made yesterday and when I looked for my extra boxes of pins...well, you know what happened, so I was wondering... Ummmm, as you look for your buttons if you happen to run onto my pins, would you give me a shout? I sure can't remember where I put them here and can't find them anywhere...I'll look for your buttons here as I wander around too...thanks my Wonder Quilter! Big Hugs...
***You know Darlene, it doesn't have anything to do with age, cause since I can remember, every time I put something in a 'safe' place that I think will be easy to remember, I never find them. One of these days, if we ever move from this home we have lived in for 34 years, I will probably find everything I ever lost, LOL.

What a cute little quilt. I love gingerbread boys! Hey - why not just go buy more of the buttons and not drive yourself crazy. Then when you find the other set you can make another quilt with them.

Oh no, Darlene! The search for little red heart buttons. So frustrating when you can't find that very safe place you put something in.

Cute addition of a gingerbread man. Gingerbread men are like snowmen. Everyone likes them.

That is a seriously handsome dude! Better watch out -- Mr. Daze might get jealous of you and your new beau!

Those buttons .... look in your pantry. No kidding, whenever I lose something it always turns up in the pantry!! ;)

I know a full proof way of finding those red heart buttons... go back to Joann's and buy another pack and I'm willing to bet that you will find the first pack you bought a few days later... Love the red and brown kitchen quilt... so cute!
