Time to Ride Again!

Actually, it's Time to Sew Again!!!

I'm ready...

1.  new blade in my Olfa cutter (Splash is hiding - grrr) - check
I have one blade holder marked "used" and one marked "new".
This way I dispose of the old blade in a safe manner and don't confuse myself at the same time.

2.  new needle in my machine - check

3.  10 bobbins wound - check
After I've used all ten bobbins I know it's time to do some dusting & cleaning

4.  chase the dust bunnies out of my machine - check

Now it's time to find a project.  I find myself getting distracted by the 'shiny things' (new fabric/new patterns).
I completely dismiss the 'slightly tarnished things' hidden in my stash closet.  Sigh!!
They once were shiny things I had to have ... why did they lose their appeal?
I've decided I need to right that wrong.
I'm going to dig for a slightly tarnished shiny thing to start working on.
Hopefully I won't have to dig too deep.
Wish me luck and stay tuned.
:-)

Have your days been pieceful?

In Friendship!

Shiny Things! Oh, how I know what you mean. I have 3 UFO's which are soo close to completion, but what do I do? I find 2 QAL patterns that are so tempting! I could cut out a few pieces, and use them as my leaders-enders, right? Never mind that I already have a leader-ender project that has been ongoing for umm, 3-4 years. Oh, the devil siren of new projects!!

I need to do all those things, too!! I'll bet your can come up with something that will make your heart by finishing it up!!

Shiny new things are always tempting... it's funny but many of my UFOs seem sort of shiny after aging for several years!

Somethings brewing in the pot, can't wait to see what you pull out of the pile.

I tend to do the very same thing. Pretty much end up in a stalemate. I'm hoping to get quilting again soon. The knitting has been very relaxing and less of a brain activity :-)

I hope you found Splash! Not much piecing going on here today. Just fabric purchasing LOL! Hopefully tomorrow some piecing will happen. The fabric I was purchasing is going with some that had gotten pushed to the back of the closet. Does that count? Mixing old with new? I hope so. I know exactly what you mean and I'm trying to do the same thing. Wow, this comment got long LOL!

I know just what you mean. I went through my things and decided I need to use up the old first from here on out. The old just doesn't seem as wonderful as it was when I bought it :)

I do the same with my blades. I have been doing a little sewing. Need to blog about it.
