This is all I have to show for the past three days. Blocks 1 & 2 of Vintage Charm from the book Simply Vintage by Blackbird Designs (I'm working on Cheri Ralston's version). Block #2 will have a star in each corner but I'll add those after I trim the block to it's correct size. Blocks 3 & 4 will be here sometime this month.
I've really enjoyed this project. I really do enjoy hand applique and must concentrate on doing more.
I popped in and out of some of your blogs during the past three days - very productive week end for many. Way to go.
Thanks for visiting - I hope you'll leave a comment to say hi.

Wonderful blocks! Enjoyed reading your previous posts as well.
What pretty blocks those are...love that quilt! You do such great applique...I need to come to AZ for a retreat with you...I get bogged down with the prep...you do that so well.
Ooooooh, YES sooooo beautiful ! (smiles). These blocks are really beautiful, Darlene, you're a champ'!

Your work is amazing. You have given me something to aspire to. I love your applique!
You go, girlfriend! Gorgeous blocks! :D BTW which days does Desiree (the cleaning maid *g* come in? ROFL) I've let the dishes pile up, the dust is an inch thick, laundry is clean but needs to be put away---all just to get bits and pieces of different sewing projects done---I think Randy is hoping to hire a young, vibrant "maid" to come in. ROFL
I love them . . . now I see I must get an applique project in the works. I love to have one laying around *s*
I love applique and those blocks are very pretty!
What pretty blocks Darlene, you do such wonderful applique.
That is "ALL" you got done??!! Goodness Darlene, that would have taken me months!! Beautiful blocks!
You are really productive, It's fun to see how much people can get done:) Your blocks are wonderful
Nice blocks Darlene! You did a beautiful job.
Oh gee...is that all? ;-) That's way more productive than I was -- and they're oh-so-pretty!
Very pretty. Love the colors.
Hi Darlene,
Such beautiful blocks...you do terrific work!
That's pretty good for just three days!! Very pretty blocks, I love the fabric. You do such lovely applique. I enjoy applique as well - but mostly the stitching not the prepping :))
Is that a block of the month?
Those are luscious...... You are going to be so pleased with this quils.
Everything looks just wonderful Darlene, the quilt loops are perfect and while not a custom quilt design they do the job and look lovely! I tried this sort of needleturn this weekend and was pleasantly happy with how easy it was to turn under the edges! Looks great!
Darlene, those blocks are stunning.
Oh Darlene...I love them. They are so pretty....great work!
They are just beautiful, Darlene. I can't believe how quickly you finished the first two!
Those look beautiful. Your work is wonderful
Hi Darlene (hehehe)....I love your blocks. I too love hand applique but don't seem to ever find the time to do it. Keep up the great work. I love reading your posts!
Hi Darlene, I like the applique you are working on. Last year I took class at my LQS and learned to hand applique. It was fun, but I don't think I am in the right time of my life to be hand appliqueing. Four children, 6 and under make sitting for any length of time, nearly impossible :-)
You do such beautiful work, Darlene. I'm just now getting around to reading blogs after the weekend.
Lovely blocks, Darlene!
I love your last post on why you blog. I feel the same way!
Those are really beautiful, Darlene! You've really taken off with your applique!! Good for you! You do gorgeous work!
Do I get a prize for following your directions? By the way, guess where I was before you? Hee, hee, hee! Beautious blocks by the way. Surprise for me?!
Lovely blocks. The colours are georgeous. Looking forward to see the continuation on this quilt. Keep up the good work.
Your applique is oh-so-gorgeous....I love Cherie's quilts.
More beautiful blocks - I think I will stop buying books and magazine and just visit your blog for all my ideas. I have been thinking about taking a class for this quilt, hmmmmmm?
Whoever is putting together your kids is choosing marvelous fabrics and colors for these blocks!
Love your blocks. They remind me a little of the Friendship's Garden quilt I did. I love all of Blackbird's Designs. Your applique looks wonderful!
I am late to the parade it would appear, but I will join everyone else and tell you your blocks are gorgeous! The fabrics are lovely - perfection! You are a talented girl, Darlene!
