Vintage Charm

This is all I have to show for the past three days. Blocks 1 & 2 of Vintage Charm from the book Simply Vintage by Blackbird Designs (I'm working on Cheri Ralston's version). Block #2 will have a star in each corner but I'll add those after I trim the block to it's correct size. Blocks 3 & 4 will be here sometime this month.
I've really enjoyed this project. I really do enjoy hand applique and must concentrate on doing more.
I popped in and out of some of your blogs during the past three days - very productive week end for many. Way to go.
Thanks for visiting - I hope you'll leave a comment to say hi.
In Friendship!

You go, girlfriend! Gorgeous blocks! :D BTW which days does Desiree (the cleaning maid *g* come in? ROFL) I've let the dishes pile up, the dust is an inch thick, laundry is clean but needs to be put away---all just to get bits and pieces of different sewing projects done---I think Randy is hoping to hire a young, vibrant "maid" to come in. ROFL

That's pretty good for just three days!! Very pretty blocks, I love the fabric. You do such lovely applique. I enjoy applique as well - but mostly the stitching not the prepping :))

Is that a block of the month?

Everything looks just wonderful Darlene, the quilt loops are perfect and while not a custom quilt design they do the job and look lovely! I tried this sort of needleturn this weekend and was pleasantly happy with how easy it was to turn under the edges! Looks great!

Hi Darlene (hehehe)....I love your blocks. I too love hand applique but don't seem to ever find the time to do it. Keep up the great work. I love reading your posts!

Hi Darlene, I like the applique you are working on. Last year I took class at my LQS and learned to hand applique. It was fun, but I don't think I am in the right time of my life to be hand appliqueing. Four children, 6 and under make sitting for any length of time, nearly impossible :-)
