I can't believe I'm the first! It's good to get up early, isn't it? I love what you've done, but maybe some simple embroidery around the inside edge of the stitchery? You are so talented, I can't believe I'm giving you advice(such as it is)! LOL

Maybe just a little 'something-something' . . . an embroidered flower or squiggle *s*

Yep, I agree with the other gals--that's what I was thinking. Very cute!

I think it is very cute! I'd just add a little vine around the words. Is it going to be a pillow?

May be if you just made a simple border 1/4 inch in on the embroidery part like this:
- - - X - - - X - - -
or where the X is perhaps a little lazy daisy flower.

I agree with everyone else. It is very cute but I would say a few flowers or something as a border around the words or at least in a couple of the corners.

I think everyone has the right idea...but what about a couple of little yo yo's like you did on the onther one? That was really cute!

sweet as can be...like others said maybe a little embrodery, some buttons or some tiny yo yo's - can't help myself, I just love yo yo's!

Like everyone else I too think it needs something .... I love May Britt's idea. Even a vine or wavy line around the edge would look lovely and enhance your project.

A small border between the center and the outside, like your last one, would help. Then maybe 1/2 inch inside of that, a running stitich done with embrodiery thread as an inner border?

I would suggest something similar to everyone else. Lazy daisy in each corner and a squiggly vine to connect them. Hope this helps you.
Show us what you decided on.

Something small -- I'm going to agree with some of the others, some embroidery around the edges of the saying? Or maybe some applique pieces that "cross the boundary" between the background of the saying and the patchwork?

I vote for TINY yoyo's, as well !

I can't add any better idea than what you've already received. Looking lovely though.

Everyone has such good ideas...I'll just say that I love it and whatever you decide I'm sure will be wonderful!

I was thinking some strip piecing but noticed that you put that in your last one with a quote, so what about diamonds on point with a contrasting colour? Just a suggestion. You look like much more of an expert than me. I found your blog through Wendy at Snippets of a Quilter. Thanks!

It's adorable -- looks like most are in agreement with the embroidered border -- that's my choice too!

Can you put a little scroll design in two corners? Or perhaps a button?

Cute as can be and there's not a thing I can add to the already wonderful suggestions. You sure are having fun :-)

I'm going to agree with the others, because the first thing I thought was that it needed a bit of an inner border like

Yes, yes, embroidery -- a 'little something'--then stick that puppy in the mail to moi!!! :D I love it!! You beat everything, you know that (as Randy says LOL).

Maybe a tiny vine with some button flowers? Something simple but sweet. Looking forward to seeing what you do!

I'd do something like a vine or a bow?

I was going to suggest a little something in the top left and bottom right corners - like two curvy lines meeting at a 90 degree angle with a flower or two embroidered there. It's adorable!

Hi Darlene,
It looks great - maybe some small cute quirky/vintage buttons would finish it off nicely!

I think tiny little flowers in the corners maybe. It's very cute.

I agree with May Britt - a running stitch with some XXX in between - maybe a small heart here and there in between the -----
