Quietly Determined! :-)

Another full day in my sewing room and I've finished 'Duck, Duck, Goose' from Simple Seasons by Kim Diehl. I took Libby, Patti and Dawn's advice and included my Humilty Block in the quilt top. It was meant to be there because it made itself right at home. :-)

I'm very proud to say that I made this entirely from my stash. WooHoo! I'm not on a fabric diet however unpacking box after box of fabric and trying to find spots to store it, has made me very aware of how much I have. I'm not going to chastise myself however I do need to think about using it. It's actually a fun little challenge.

By the way, I'm a quilter however I obviously cannot count - there are only 30 blocks in this quilt, not 60. Duh! LOL

Thanks for popping in!

In Friendship!

It's gorgeous! I was looking through that book last night and wondered if that was the quilt you were making! I'll have to put that one on my list...

This one is also lovely. You must have an excellent stash of fabric to make such a great quilt. I am going to take full advantage of my Monday holiday and get myself to the sewing room. Thanks for the inspiration.

Glad you decided to put the block in . . . it's going to be very happy there *s*

It looks so great! The humility block is not so obvious and looks just fine, glad you left it in. You are inspiring me to get going full steam ahead!

Yipee and congratulations! I love your quilt! I really enjoy looking at the close up pictures, because I can even admire the fabrics and I see a few that I own too! Give yourself a big pat on the back!

Hey, I had to look three times to find the "humility" block. It's wonderful and fits right it!! Another perfect finish!

Wow you’re finished the top already, I love it, I may have to make on myself, and even the humility block looks great.

Wow you work fast. I think this quilt is truly awesome. I will have to take a serious look at her books next time I'm at the quilt store.

Oooh -- love this top, and I'm glad you added in the "humility" block. It looks great -- and as for counting, um, lots of blocks works for me :0).

I like your take on stashbusting -- not going to beat yourself up over it, but determined to use the fabrics you obviously love/loved at one point.

Your quilt is beautiful! I saw that book at Joann Fabrics today, but I didn't pick it up to look in it. I guess I should have, huh? :)

A lovely quilt! Really, can you give me the name of your pusher?!?!? ROFLOL You are one focused individual and I love it! I had to take a break from machine quilting. It really is so different pushing a quilt around as opposed to a machine. My 180 is still at the shop. I did get new today that it's being worked on. Perhaps I'll have it tomorrow! I didn't cancel my longarm time despite the lack of quilts. I did come to the conclusion that I need a vacation. I want to run away somewhere! Hum... I'm off topic! Gorgeous quilt, I just love your work! Hugs....

This is wonderful! I started to tell you how lovely it was last night when my battery on my laptop died and I was too tired to get the cord out! And I love your piano key border!

Great finish. I love the border too.

I have 2 humility blocks in my recent 4patch flimsy! I'm FAR from perfect, let alone making a perfect quilt top, so I'm quite happy to leave them both in there.

Oh -- I love the colours in that quilt!! Beautiful!! Speaking for myself - I find math is not my strong suit and I am always miscalculating my blocks and measurements. I think a lot of quilters are like that - we think from the coloured side of the brain - not the numbered side - LOL

You certainly do work quick as a bunny!!

great job! congrats on using only stash fabric

What an amazing seamstress you are! That is an absolutely stunning quilt, my friend! I don't see a "humility block" in there - it just fits in with the rest of the quilt. Your stash is wonderful! Maybe it just felt like you sewed 60 blocks, instead of 30 - LOL!!

It's just gorgeous Darlene! And my goodness it came together so fast!
And all from stash...don't you LOVE that!!!?!

Gorgeous quilt top! I love Kim Diehl's books, and now have to add this pattern to my "must do" list!

Nice quilt! The blocks look like they were easy to sew. And you used your stash. I am trying to do more of that myself.
