SHHHHH - I'm Suppose To Be Working!!!
Yes, I'm suppose to be working but I just couldn't help myself. I really couldn't - the blocks were sitting in front of my sewing machine taunting me. In fact, I swear I heard them calling me - LOL!
2 Simplicity Layer Cakes + yardage for the sashing = Blossom by Fig Tree Quilts. Obviously it still needs an outer border but I need to make that decision now that the center is done. Any thoughts?
OK, I must stop playing for now! Thanks for visiting!

You know when those quilt pieces start calling you, you better listen. LOL! Glad you had a fun time. Love those Polka Dot girls.
I have the dirty washing calling me.. the cat calling me wanting to be fed... the dagster (super dh) calling me as he has made me a cup of tea and after all that.. the fabric will call me!
Have a wonderful weekend and isn't it good to 'play hooky' once in awhile???

Oh Darlene! It's soooo cute! Thank you for posting it--you know I have been anxiously awaiting this picture!!! I told it to call your name and not let you work :)
I wish I had a charm pack to look through so I could give input on your borders...hmmm it's 4:06 and there is a quilt shop open until 6:00 that is right by Costco where I could pick up pizza for dinner...o.k. anything for my big sis :)
What a great quilt. I love those colors too.
that Simplicity range sure is beauitul......
Another great project there...I'm very inspired by your blog, thanks!
I just love your quilt!! I would love to know what pattern you used. Did you use 10" squares for the main fabrics? Thanks so much.
absolutely lovely!
i'm doing a thangles quilt in the simplicity fabrics-love the softness of the colors
I love the quilt top you are making. The colors are so soft and feminine looking.
And it's okay to play! We all need to do that sometimes.
Great job on the piecing.I love those colors. Needs to be thrown over a porch swing.*S*
I love it! Isn't that pattern the most fun! Pick your favorite piece and border it in that! I wish I had made the borders on mine wider, so that might be something to consider, too. Fabulous quilt! You done good! :)
What about some Prairie points?
That is very pretty fabric. I just got a that fabric from the Fat Quarter shop in my monthly Moda Fat Quarter club. I am loving this fat quarter club :))
Enjoy the weekend.

Oh my what a wonderful quilt. That's the first one I've seen with the layer cakes. How about flying geese but the kind that are flying next to each other. I don't know what it called. I bet I've really confused you now...LOL
*s* I won't tell.
Gorgeous - adore those simplicity fabrics. One of my favourite ranges at the moment. Also love your Polka Dot Girls - a big fan of stitchery.
This is a beautiful quilt Darlene - love the fabric I think I need to go shopping!
Of course you had to obey their calling at you!
Beautiful!
That is a very pretty quilt! Love the fabrics.
Oh so pretty!!! Lovelovelove it!
Gotta love that Simplicity!! We have a whole section of it at work and it calls, and calls me when I am there. So far I have been strong, but after seeing your quilt I might have to give in tomorrow :-)!
I just love it when fabric calls my name. This is a neat looking quilt and looks like it went together quickly. You will find the perfect border for it I am sure. It's always good to take a fabric break, if only to smell it, lol.
How nice to see something done with Layer Cakes! Beautiful fabric line, Simplicity!
Lush, just lush. Love it.
Oh cute, cute, cute!!!!! You always have such fun tops!
I do love that pattern and now I know why. What a beautiful quilt you made! Simplicity is perfect for that pattern, isn't it? I'm glad you weren't working!
