Itty Bitty Baskets ;-)
These itty bitty baskets (4" x 4") have been keeping me busy while watching TV in the evenings! This is one of those projects that's being planned as I go along. No duplicate baskets - all different fabrics. I have no idea how I will set them. Any thoughts??? I've considered narrow sashing and cornerstones or an alternate block but for now I'll just keep making baskets till I'm tired of making baskets! LOL
Thanks for stopping by - ya'll come back!

They are really cute and I like the color palate. I need to use these colors sometimes and switch up the red once in a while. Cactus needle blog is doing baskets too.

Such darling little baskets! You could alternate a solid square with one appliqued.

Oh those avery cute. I love the fabric you are doing them in ! Where did you find the pattern for these ? I would love to make a mini from this pattern for my grandmother because she just loves basket quilts

Very cute Darlene! The might be cute just treated as individual blocks with a narrow sashing in between them.

Really cute baskets! What about adding a triangle on the side of each basket block and then joining them together?

Look forward to seeing what happens to the little baskets!

You know I like them just sewn together. Not sure how thin sashing would look, but they are spectacular!

oh I love basket quilts!
just keep making them till you have enough for your bed, wouldn't it be fun to look at all the different fabrics in the quilt .....
you will only need to make a couple hundred :)

did you draw the basket yourself?

Love the little baskets and in the Blackbird book they just put lots and lots of little baskets together with nothing else in between - so you could always do that.

They're gorgeous! So how many more baskets do you want to make? Or should I ask, how many more baskets are you "willing" to make?

Because if you don't mind making more of them, you could replicate a gorgeous quilt from the new Blackbird Designs' book, When the Cold Wind Blows. It is made entirely with itty-bitty baskets like yours. While their quilt is set on point, the effect would be much the same ~ all those wonderful fabrics and baskets!

So I say ~ make more baskets! Of course, by the time you're finished, you might not be so much in love with applique... :)

I think they look nice set as they are without sashing. What about varying some of them by adding a flower? Thya are beautifully done. I will look forward to seeing how the quilt turns out.

How darling! I would just put a very simple sashing between them.

What a fun project!

I'm impressed! I think I would like them without sashing. And I still think adding light baskets on a dark background in between what you are now making may be the way to go.

Oh boy! I love baskets. They are so cute. I marked a page in a book, sometime back, with tiny baskets. I'm going to find it and make some.
