Two Bits, Four Bits, Six Bits a Dollar
(dating myself? LOL)

I simple couldn't help myself - I had to do it. Another completed Schnibbles flimsy - this one is called Two Bits and once again the big old copy cat that I am I used Old Primrose Inn just as Carrie did. This would be adorable in a larger version with very scrappy 4 patches.

I hope you're having a wonderful week and enjoying your needle and thread!

Thanks for stopping by - come again soon.

In Friendship!

Sweet! I had not even paid much attention to these little patterns until a friend was working on on at retreat this weekend. They are so great! Miss Rosie is the BEST!

Good use of those charms! I have two packs too, and I was wondering which Schnibbles I'd want to use them in. BTW, any idea why 25 cents is called two bits? That never did make any "cents" to me--LOL! Seriously, though?

Great quilt. I love that fabric - and don't have any. I just picked up a Schnibbles pattern this week. If the work stress ever settles down .....

What are you trying to do? Make more Schnibbles than I have? It's a Schnibble-palooza over here!

By the way... when the quilt was named, I looked up the origin of the term. This is for Kim...

Two bits is a colloquial expression in the United States for 25 cents. It dates from colonial days, when a common unit of currency was the Spanish milled dollar. As a way of making change, these dollars were often cut into eight pie-slice shaped pieces, called bits. Hence, two bits being a quarter dollar.
