Sunshine & More

I like to say that we live on the "Surface of the Sun" (the AZ desert) - very, very hot summers. :-) I don't know whether or not I should admit that I do get tired of the sun - too much sunshine. I crave overcast, cloudy, rainy days. I crave colder days, too. Silly I know! LOL Ironically, we're having a "Darlene Day" today - woohoo!!!!

I found a major ray of sunshine in my mailbox a few days ago! A very dear bloggy friend sent the little quilt top to 'bring sunshine into my challenging world'. I was very touched and must admit to tear filled eyes. Thank you, my friend you've truly touched my heart.

Yesterday Mr Daze celebrated a very special birthday and our daughter Kristie and her family put together a fabulous surprise party. We enjoyed cake and ice cream with lots of wonderful friends. The best surprise for Mr Daze was his much younger sister and her family shared the day with us - we hadn't seen them in at least 9 years. After the party we took him to dinner. A wonderful day - he's still on Cloud 9 today. LOL

Thank you for visiting - please come again soon.

In Friendship!

A belated Happy Birthday to Mr. Daze!!! Sounds like it was very special, lots of great memories made.

The quilt you received it wonderful! What a happy surprise for you.

Hey, if you are really craving colder days, how about hubby and I trade houses with you for the winter? LOL... We have been looking for a place to live in Arizona because the warm weather is easier on me. Seems like the "grass is always greener" should be inserted right here huh? *wink* Big Hugs sweet friend...

I'm your one blog friend who knows exactly what you mean! I get so tired of the summer heat. Especially this year when it hung on until very late into October, thought it was never going to cool off. So this is my kind of day too, it's awesome, love it. I love it when it rains too. Happy Birthday to your hubby sounds like he had a good one. Very nice little quilt.

Happy birthday!
I grew up and still live in Santa Cruz, CA. USA. Many people think our area is lots of sunshine. We do have sunshine after the fog leaves after the late morning, and then comes back in the afternoon.
When we have valley people visit they dont understand dressing in layers.
I so enjoy the fog knowing that it will come back and cool off the day. Most of us do not have airconditioners. Houses in our area were once summer cottages. That means no insulation, airconditioning, or dishwashers.
On the up side we are 1.25 miles from the beach. A nice walk.
