A few days ago I discovered a charm pack of Hideaway by Moda buried in a drawer. I didn't recall having purchased this charm pack and couldn't believe how absolutely adorable it was! I set it by my computer so I could fondle it while I made plans to make something soon.
Then last night (ok, early this morning) I was up because I couldn't sleep. I was looking for some fabric and discovered small yardages of the fabrics shown above - Hideaway. Where did this come from(?) - seriously - was it a kit(?) - if so, where's the pattern(?). I went to bed at 4:30am scratching my head. Seriously perplexed! LOL
I was afforded the opportunity to have a few hours to myself this afternoon so I ran to my "Hideaway" to sew. I kept it simple but I love it! A small quilt for the month of March on March 1. woohoo!!!
I'm feeling a bit smug tonight - 'when life gives you lemons; make lemonade'. Uninterrupted sewing time is blissful.
In case you missed Cheryl's post on her blog - the February winner for Christmas Through The Year is Carrie P.
Thank you for stopping by to visit with me - come again soon!

What a lovely mystery to ponder while you stitched! It is adorable--glad you had time in your Hideaway to play.
LOL!!! Maybe the quilting elves put it there...love the fabric and the quilt is so sweet. Look at you a project done and it's only March 1st!!! Way to go :-)!
So cute! You find the cutest little things hiding away!
I'm glad you had some time to yourself today. :)
So Cute Darlene!
This is when you discoverer the pattern for the fabrics. LOL

Your quilt is lovely. What a lovely surprise finding such pretty fabric.
My heart is singing and dancing my friend! Time for YOU and a cute, cute quilt! Happy!!!
Such a sweet little quilt and a real day brightener!
It sure is blissful to have sewing time! That was so funny to read that other people have fabric purchases that they cannot remember at all :)
It is wonderful!!!!
Very clever! Sad I missed last month's goal of Christmas gifts, but I have been otherwise preoccupied...teehee. I love the aqua and yellow combo in the line. First time I have seen it.
So pretty!!! Sometimes the simplest quilts are the best ones!! :-)
I have a few charm packs stashed in the sewing room. Your quilt is a simple setting but a good way to feature a charm pack when you only purchased one. For me, one pack is not enough. I have stopped purchasing the pre-cuts.....at least for the time being.
Oh Darlene I'm laughing - how cute is that fabric, you must have thought so at one time and forgotten you had it! DARLING quilt you made!
Love discovering hidden gems! But you took the fabric name literally - and hid it away! The quilt is gorgeous! Good job!
I love Hideaway. I bought a yard or so of the green print to make a quilt with. I want to make it with some kind of wood looking fabric-like you are looking out of a window. I have to say, it was really hard not to buy the entire line. So cute.
What a fun discovery to make! When life qives you scraps (or in this case- charm packs) Quilt! :) I love the springy softness of the colors!
Look like spring is coming with that sweet looking quilt. Great find in your sewing room.
Sweet little quilt and a nice surprise to find the co-ordinating fabric
I'm glad you had some time to play today. I love your little quilt. Glad I'm not the only one that discovers hidden fabric and wonders what I purchased it for. Now that March's project is done, just think of all the other wonderful things you can concentrate on. Nola
Great little finish! How large did it finish?
such an adorable fabric line! super cute quilt Darlene, congrats on the finish.
Well, that turned out to be some productive sewing time. I am so excited to be a winner.
Thank you, thank you! I received my Christmas Stocking today! I love my Lil Twister and pin cushion.
Love to all!
Such sweetness - so bright and springy.
What a sweet little quilt! Such lovely spring colors! :0)
You definitely took advantage of your surprise finds. A simple, project like this brings in a season quickly and gives us the satisfaction of a finish without much stress.
Way to go!
What a gorgeous little quilt. It's beautiful!!
Your night may have been sleepless, but it sure was productive. That's a very sweet quilt.
