OH MY!

(this is a long post - bear with me)

I'm sorry I didn't return on Friday to announce the winners of my celebrations. We had a stressful and busy afternoon - my Visa debit card was compromised. Yep, someone attempted to do some major shopping with MY card. Needless to say it took us a few hours to unravel the mess. Ugh! I spent the rest of the day going through a variety of emotions - stress, anger, frustration, etc.

Completely forgetting that I still needed to announce the winners I decided to spend time in my "Happy Place" and sew like the wind. I spent a few hours Friday evening with my friend (my sewing machine) and then ALL afternoon and into the late night on Saturday. Up early this morning to - you guessed it - sew some more. teehee!!!! This is one of the of the precut projects I showed in my silly game last game - Bounce by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co with Hello Luscious by Basic Grey for Moda. I still need to add the final plain outer border; hopefully I can do that tomorrow. Miss Shaye is coming to spend a few hours with her Nana and Papa while her Mama goes to a doctor's appt - there may not be any sewing until later in the day. :-)

Cooper happened to be passing through - he visited the groomer last week so he's looking dapper. :-)

Yes, I know you're waiting for me to announce the winners - stop rolling your eyes! LOL I need your opinion, please! I received a variety of wonderful birthday gifts from blog friends and I'd love to show you.

I quit showing stuff like that a long time ago because I was accused of bragging and/or showing off.

Obviously, I've thanked all my friends profusely but I'd love to show you, too.

What would you do or better yet what do you do?

OK, here's the list of precut projects and their matching patterns:

A - 3

B - 5

C - 6
D - 2

E - 4

F - 1

27 participated in my silly and a bit difficult game and 9 got all the answers correctly. WooHoo!!!!

The winners:

Linda K

Linda

Nancy E

I've spoken with my financial planner (aka Budget Guy) and he has approved that all nine winners will receive a prize. So, I'll go through the list of winners to see what you said you wanted and try to fulfill your wish - if your wish was given to someone ahead of you then I'll select something for you. :-)

Winners if you don't hear from me but see that you're on the list then please send me an e-mail with your address.

Thank you so much for all the birthday and blog anniversary wishes! I sincerely appreciate your sweet comments!

Enjoy a pieceful day.

In Friendship!

Love your Bounce quilt in Hello Luscious .. and wow! you got it together so quickly. Well done. I'd love to see your birthday gifts. How awful that you even have to think about whether to show them or not. People can be so unkind! Congrats to all the game winners and thank you for being so generous.

Your quilt is just beautiful! And congratulations to your winners! I say show the gifts if you want to. I personally don't show gifts on my blog but it's mainly because I'm too lazy to photograph them! LOL

Your version Bounce is absolutely beautiful!

Glad you caught that bank stuff right away. Having a little headache over it is better than a migraine.

I agree with Carol. It is your blog, post what you want on it. I for one don't mind when people show off their new loot whether purchased, won, or gifted to them. It is fun to see the fabrics/tools people are using.

Your Bounce quilt is lovely!! It makes me want to make one.

And WahOo! I had fun playing your game. Those are my kind of trivia games. I was getting ready to go back to the post to check my answers when I saw my name in the correct answer list. YAY! Thank you so much!

Show us what you got!! Anyone that says you are bragging is just jealous! And the rash of credit card thefts among my friends has me wanting to cut all mine up and stash my money in the mattress. So sorry you had to be a victim! Enjoy your time with Shaye and I love Bounce.

don't people have better things to do than steal from others. I have had the same thing happen. Glad you got it straightened out.

I'm sorry I missed the celebration! Happy Birthday Darlene. I'm sorry someone else tried to "celebrate" on your dime, though. What a bummer but I'm glad it's all straightened out. That happened to me once. Not fun. I would LOVE to see the goodies you've received. It's fun to share. :)

You are so funny. Belated birthday wishes to you. Hate that credit card thing, It has happened to me a couple times. All's well that ends well, even though it takes time and is a pain. Glad you caught it.

Love your Bounce quilt; the borders especially.

How about you share bits and pieces of what you received here and there? Clear as mud?

Sheesh! I'm impressed that anyone guessed all nine of those correctly -- I couldn't even come close. Sorry about your debit card. Love that quilt!

JoAnn ( Scene Through My Eyes) said...

I say ignore the snooty ones that are jealous because you have so many friends. They are small minded and to be pitied because they can't share the joy of a friend. The rest of us really want to see!!!!

Love the border, and the quilt, by the way.

Well, crud...make that double crud...on your debit card fiasco. That happened on our credit card, but I was incredibly impressed with how the company handled it. Hope everything was straightened out and glad you could escape to the land of stitching to ease the stress. I fell in love with Bounce the minute I saw it. Carrie just keeps cranking out quilts I must make. You did a beautiful job...made me hop over and order the pattern. Just gorgeous! And as for sharing your Birthday treasures...I vote YES! I wanna see! Those who don't, can just close their eyes and stop being party poopers.
