Fall Quilt - check

I spent most of the day working on my Fall quilt project and it's officially a flimsy.  I'm not crazy about the way the creamy white looks.  Way too bright for the other more subdued colors.  Tomorrow before I start quilting it I'm going to take it outside and spritz the white areas with a tea dye mixture.  I think that will help tone it down.

It will never be my favorite quilt however it will serve the purpose intended - decorate my entry way for the next six weeks and eventually be used to provide comfort and warmth.

Are you interested in seeing it again after it's spritzed and quilted?

I hope you're having a super pieceful week end.
I appreciate you - thank you for popping in to visit with me.

In Friendship!

I think it looks great, but then I am a high contrast girl, lol. I would love to see when you have spritzed it, maybe I will finally understand the concept of subtle blending when I see the difference ;)

I love it, and I love the contrast the creamy white gives it, but I would be interested to see the difference it makes when you tone down the cream.

I think the quilt turned out just perfect. However he tea spray sounds interesting. I am having the same problem with my fall quilt, go with white sashing or off white. Today is the day to get r done.

There have been several projects that I didn't like while I was making them but it all seemed to come together after I had quilted, bound and washed it. Then I fell in love with each one. But a little tea-dye won't hurt!

I think it is a very pretty quilt. I would love to see how it looks with a little tea spritzing.

You bet I am! Show the process, too..to all of your readers who would be too intimidated to spritz a quilt! I am loving that you are going to do this. Bring it and lots of photos on. It'll look even more wonderful in all of the autumnal tones. I love tea, inside and out for the gentling effects it brings :)

You silly wabbit, of course we want to see it again! I've never tried spritzing tea stain, I'll have to keep that in mind. I actually like the creamy white, but I'm sure I'll like the new version even better.

The tea dying will help warm up the white: although being it is a fall quilt, I love it.

I love the colors, Darlene!

I like it, but I do think toning down the light color might make it all blend together a bit more. I look forward to seeing it tea stained! :0)

You got this quilt done fast, it's very nice. I would like to see another picture of it after its had a tea bath and then again after its quilted. It's a nice quilt to decorate for Fall.

Great pattern and I love the fabrics. The tea dye might be just the thing to blend the colors the way you want. Nice work!
I'm having a book giveaway on my blog if you're interested :-)

Looks very warm and cozy and ready for its assigned duties! I'm very curious indeed to see what the spritzing looks like!

I agree with Paulette, a side by side photo would be great. The white is too bright for me as I love the muted, muddy colors.

I like it this way. Nice contrast. but that's just me. :) It's going to live in your house so you need to make fit your likes. Can't wait to see it spritzed.

Now that I've seen it spritzed, the white seems too white. It's still a very pretty quilt.
