The Snow Flies Again :-)

Remember my Roh-Roh post about my Snowmen A...Zzzz and Kona white/snow?
Thank you so much for all your in put and advice.

An executive decision has been made :-)

I took a trip to Joann's and purchased enough yardage of Kona for all the blocks.  I'm continuing on with the letter G - Gifts and others that have not been stitched yet.  When I have finished then I'll check to see whether or not the first four blocks I stitched last month (B,C,D & I) look good and if they don't look then I'll restitch them then.  I think it's the best solution for now.
After I printed G-Gifts I realized that was my last sheet of Sulky printable solvy so I traced the letter
H - Holly Berries and it's been slow going.
I have a tendency to trace very lightly because I fear my traced lines will show.  Bird Brain Designs to the rescue - a new package of printable solvy has arrived.  WooHoo!!!!

Swoon block #7 was finished today :-)
Two to go!

Wishing you a pieceful Wednesday.

In Friendship!

As executive decisions go... that's a good one! G for Gifts is a G for Gorgeous little stitchery. I've just discovered Sticky Solvy and it's FAB I wouldn't be without it now.
Have fun!

I love these embroidery pieces. They are just adorable. I think you will eventually go back and redo the ones you have already completed but it's good to wait until the end so it won't bug you as much after making so many other blocks. LOL!
BTW: I Love, Love, Love your swoon blocks. I typically see them in modern prints but I'm more of a traditional gal and am always impressed when someone just tones it down. The design itself can hold it's own.

Glad you came up with a solution. The blocks are so sweet that it would have been a shame not to finish them.

These blocks are just adorable. When I gain control over my UFO situation I hope to try some embroidery. It's been years since I made tea towels.

Good idea to hold off on a final rejection until all are completed--it may turn out to be just fine to your eye! I have a Bird Brain pattern I bought several years ago and just came across it again--I even bought some transfereze. Now to get needle and thread to meet!

Speaking of snow, it sure seems cold enough to snow here. The local mountains are getting some. I'm glad you've got all your much needed supplies.

There's some about doing hand stitching that is so comforting. I do have a tendency to trace too light and then I'm wondering where to place my stitches. Looking forward to seeing your next block and your next swoon block.

These snowmen are so cute! Glad your Solvy arrived. It sure makes it easier :-) Good idea to get background for all the blocks. Even different bolts look different sometimes.
