I could use a crew to build this Short Line Railroad
Are YOU available????
:-).
I am definitely having fun working on this railroad.
This is my first experience with Moda Honey Buns (1.5" strips).
I'm glad I have two more planned Honey Bun projects, as I've really enjoyed myself.
I think Moda has discontinued Honey Buns; much to my chagrin. :-)
It's time to make more little soldiers. :-)
I hope you're enjoying lots and lots of pieceful days!
I'll be back to share more progress soon.
I do appreciate your visits and comments.
In Friendship!

I've started (and not finished) a honeybun project from a Miss Rosie pattern called Ashcombe and I have the honeybuns and pattern for Times Four - another Miss Rosie pattern. I also planned to make the quilt on the cover of American Patchwork and Quilting that Carrie Nelson shows on the latest blog. I'm with you - honeybuns are great but there aren't many around.
this is looking awesome Darlene, well done.xx
Oh Darlene that is so darn cute! I'm available as soon as I get back from the kids on Sunday...I'll be right out!
What a great project, love the colours!
Your railroad is looking good! :0)
I have two honey ins in my stash with fabric to match. It's like holding on to gold now that they aren't available anymore. Maybe they should reconsider if you start a riot! Lol! It's good to see you working....I mean, having fun piecing!
Sew cute!!
Very cute. I have never worked with honey buns.
Your railroad quilt is looking fabulous! This is going to be such a terrific quilt!
Totally adorable! I have a few Honey Buns but I can see now that I should have stocked up!!
Now that is so cute and fun! I have a couple of Honey Bins for a project in my UFO list. I guess I better move that one up.
Very, very cute! I love it!
Honey Honey! Wasn't that a song? :)
You know... I think you should make one of these for everybody who leaves a comment...
I love the looks of this one!
I loved HoneyBuns. Especially in the Bella Solids.
BRING THEM BACK!!
Well you are doing a great job. I don't think you need help. I haven't used the honey buns yet. I likey.
Wow! You have been busy! I love your top~ it is going to be so fun! They stopped making Honey Buns?! But i haven't bought any yet! Uh-oh. ;-)
I like it!! That block style is on my "to do" list. Sigh. I need to win Lotto or PowerBall so that I can focus on sewing. 25 more years and I can retire. HA!
I'm lovin' those bright fabrics making the zigzags in this quilt Darlene!!!
Very, very pretty.
I never had the occasion to sew with a honeybun so I guess I don't know what I'm missing, huh?
Thats beautiful too. I love both this one and your trip quilt. I wonder if I have any honey buns - hmmmmmmmmm
It's looking great Darlene. I've never used a honey bun before but it's too bad they're discontinuing them. I've found many cute quilts to make with pre-cuts.
Can't wait to see how you finish this one.
Love the railroad and the colors. Can't wait to see it completed.
That's fun, I'm available when I finish helping my daughter with her move but I'll wait until it not so hot!
What a great pattern! Just a rail fence set on point? Love how graphic and modern it looks this way.

This is gorgeous!
Now I am humming "I've been workin on the railroad, all the live long days...." LOL
Oh this looks amazing.
Loving this Darlene!
I love this quilt!! So bright and happy. Has anyone mentioned problems leaving a comment from an IPad? I can't seem to leave a comment.
Darling! I have wanted to build a chevron quilt in a similar fashion. Your scrappy-happy version is inspiring.
Wow!! I need to build a railroad! That is one lovely project and so is the postage stamp. I can feel the lure of the sewing machine.... you've got me all giddy :o))
Wow! That is stunning! I cannot wait to see wherebthatbrailroad takes you!
Great railroad :)
I've seen HoneyBuns still being sold around different websites, but my 1.5" bin is pretty full too. This is a great pattern for using those up in a wonderful design!
Love your quilt
