Silly Wabbits :-)
(do they prefer chocolate or embroidery?)

I believe it's quite obvious that I love bunny wabbits; therefore you won't be surprised when I tell you that I couldn't wait to start stitching "Rabbits Prefer Embroidery" by Bunny Hill Designs. The pattern arrived in Monday's mail; I zipped up to the quilt store yesterday afternoon to purchase Bella solid in ivory (Moda); zipped home traced block #1 and spent the evening stitching, stitching, stitching! Can you say "Bliss" - sigh!

I'm sorry about the picture quality - couldn't get the flash to cooperate. :-( Don't you just love my large 'chocolate' bunny - he's quite regal in my entry. I'll share a picture of the entire entry later!

Here are the two stitched pieces that are part of block #1 (you're smiling, aren't you?)
Now I've got to decide whether I want to search through my stash to assemble the quilt or place an order for Chelsea Manor (Bunny Hill's newest line of fabric - suggested for this pattern) HMMM - what would you do?
I can't seem to finish my "Rabbits Prefer Chocolate" version so hopefully I'll finish the embroidery version.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today - please come again soon!
In Friendship!

If I had the talent to do all of that lovely embroidery, I would definitely set it off with Chelsea Manor - love it! But then again, I know my stash would not support such a great pattern, maybe yours does!?!?!

Oh my gosh.. I just love everything on your post today and yesterday. Your basket looks so nice with the checkered fabric and you do marvelous applique. The Rabbits Prefer Chocolate is darling and you must finish it - too cute to let it lay idle.

Oh Darlene...how adorable. Your applique rabbits looks almost finished, that will be a wonderful quilt to have around in the spring. The new redwork bunnies are so sweet, another great quilt. I can see why the rabbits are hard to resist.

Darlene, I think we both like the same patterns. I also bought this Rabbits Prefer Embroidery pattern, I love it. I have not started mine yet. I think it's awesome that you got going on yours right away and it's so cute, good job. I was going to buy the Chelsea Manor fabric because I really like it but after much debate decided to use scrappy reds instead, mainly because I've been spending too much money on quilting stuff lately. I'll keep you updated when I get going on my embroidery.

Your wabbits are wonderful! Your stitches are so beautiful. I'll need to get a rocking chair next to you at The Home so you can teach me!! xo

Oh that pattern is sooo cute! I don't think I"ve seen that one yet! I would go buy the fabric I want for that baby! And WHY have you not finished the chocolate version one - it is wonderful!

Oh I'd buy the suggested fabric - it is so cute!! Can't wait to see its progress, don't think it will take too long for you to do!

When I see wabbits I always think of you! :D Wonderful quilt!

Now darlene, do you really have to think about the fabric? (wink)

When I saw the redwork bunny pattern I came soooo close to ordering it but stopped myself. I have Anne's Baltimore Bunnies that I haven't started yet but of course are on my "to do" list which is growing by leaps and bounds.

And your "Rabbits Prefer Chocolate" looks done...or you're awefully close.

Hmmmmm...to order or not to order?

Your redwork is so cute. That pattern is adorable. You are so close to finishing the chocolate rabbits. Maybe you work on them both?!! LOL

I think that fabric should be on it's way to your house soon. You'll finish them both . . . . I know you will.

Love the quilt, you did a great job with Anne's pattern. Love the big brown bunny!!! That is going to be a big project with the hand work. I'm not great at embroidery so I'll leave that to admire yours. That new fabric of Anne's is really fabulous.

Oh Darlene, you are so lucky to be working on the new rabbits!!! I was so tempted, but just too much going on right now. I'll be watching (and drooling) to see how you progress!
Cheers!
