A Good Day!
I had a very relaxing day in my sewing room and finished my 12 Days of Christmas Designer BOM from the Fat Quarter Shop. I made a slight change - why - because I could. LOL Rather than wonky stars in border I decided to simply add sawtooth stars in the corners.
When I tossed it on the floor to take a picture Cooper decided he wanted to help. :-)
(ignore the wrinkles, please)
Binding pieced - check
In Friendship!

Your quilt is beautiful Darlene, I love how Cooper likes to sit on it when you take your photo.
Looks awesome Darlene!! Makes me went to run to my sewing room to finish mine. I spent some time sewing today. It was very relaxing. :)
Looks great! LOL I love how Cooper got into the photo~ like he knows it was your intention to get his photo all along. :-)
I think your quilt top looks great that way! Well done! :0)
I love your quilt. How is Mr Daze doing?
Love this BOM. It turned out great!
Sew relaxing indeed! Its pretty with the aqua border and I like your change to the simple sawtooth stars. Amazing how animals can perch in the VERY MIDDLE of things :)
Like it alot! Cooper is a cutie. It's so nice to have a Christmas quilt ready for the holidays.
Oh Darlene, I love the change you made to the border, it makes the blocks the focus of the quilt. It is really lovely. I've been sad ever since blocks started showing up in blogs that I didn't join in that particular BOM. I have so few Christmas quilt decorations. I love the picture...Cooper is such a gentleman. Now if either of my little furry girls had seen me throw a quilt top on the floor, in about 30 seconds they would have scrunched it up, laid down on it and claimed it as their own, *they are such little ladies!
I DID get to play with fabric today! I got all the blocks for my "Ice Cream Sundae" by Paula Stoddard, arranged, tagged with row and block numbers and tomorrow I can start to finally assemble her. It will take some time though, as there is no sashing and lots and lots of points to match up. It has been a fun quilt to make, but when I had to set it aside with everything else for surgeries over the last 18 months, I kind of lost my mojo. But it's back now and I'm loving it. I'll get her finished up, then move on to a couple of simple Holiday and Winter toppers and wall hangings (I hope), LOL. Big Hugs dear friend...
The stars in the border might be my favorite part of this terrific quilt. They are an unexpected bonus.
Well Cooper obviously realises that you put quilts on the floor for him to sit on just so you can take his photo.
Beautiful - love the stars in the corner. And Cooper approves, better yet!
Love your helper! I'm with you, those wonky stars just didn't work for me...Love your backing! And red binding...PERFECT!
What is it with animals having to 'christen' everything? Geeze!
Looks like another beauty, Darlene. I love the corner blocks too. Great choice.
Delightful! Cooper agrees. :o) I think you can do whatever you want as it's your quilt!
Came out beautiful, sawtooth stars and all!
Cooper is just a darling.
Your quilt top looks great.
I love the sawtooth stars in the corners. Binding and backing pieced -- sounds like this one will be finished in plenty of time for Christmas!
Love your little helper! ;-)
Woo Hoo!!!! Plenty of time left for you to quilt this one up and enjoy for the holiday season! Well done girl!
What a fab quilt and lovely back, I didn't notice wrinkles, I was looking at the cutie claiming the quilt.
I'm loving the stars in the border.
Oh, I love that quilt! Cooper has great taste! I find that dogs take their quilt jobs very seriously! I know my Lilly does!
I didn't think I would like that blue fabric for the border but I do , it looks icy cool, very wintery. Wonderful job, that's one great pattern. I'm hoping I get mine back from the quilter before Christmas, I"m guessing you'll get yours quilted with time to spare!
Great job! I love how it turned out.
It's gorgeous...I love it! A red binding is perfect for it!
You are so close!!!! Don't give up. Can't wait to see it all fluffed up and quilted. It's beautiful. Wish I had done it now...isn't that always the way?!?!?
Your quilt top is beautiful. Cooper makes a great addition! Nola
Oh it's beautiful Darlene - and so is Cooper! Hugs.
love it Darlene
My 12 Days of Christmas is with my quilter and I can't wait to get it back. Yours looks perfect!
HI! I hope you get this message! I was wondering about the Fat Quarter shop BOMs...do you get just enough fabric to make the block? Or is there a little extra in case of mistakes?
