OK - you can LOOK now!

I finally took the time to pull some of the stuff out of the closet in my sewing room and I can actually “walk-in” now. LOL No, I didn’t do the “BIG SORT” – that project will have to wait for now cuz I don’t feel like doing it right now. I feel better that I can at least walk into the closet and pull those drawers open. How is it that a person can have a sewing room with 21 drawers (yes, 21) and still not have enough room to store it all??? Sigh!

It’s a proven fact that “Quilting puts a smile on my face; and a song in my heart” – it just makes me feel so good. I just want to sew!!!!! :-)
Stitchery! Redwork! Embroidery!
I love handwork and have been wanting to get more involved in "stitchery, redwork, embroidery". I've searched and searched for THE project and nothing speaks to me except Leanne's House designs. I love, love, love her designs - have you seen them? If you like embroidery you must take a peek at her patterns. Oh my goodness they are wonderful. I am a bit sad because I can't seem to find a place to purchase them here in the US. If the ladies in Australia can order goodies from the US then certainly I order from Australia. Soon; very soon! :-)

Wow - that's a pretty great space you have there. I am still trying to work out a satisfying arrangement...shelves, bins, bags, boxes. Someday it will all come together.

Your drawers look a whole lot better than the various bags and bins I've been using! You are way more organized than I'll ever be. LOL!

(Sorry I deleted the previous post because there was a big mistake in it)If you were to contact some of the stockists which are listed on Leanne's blog I am sure that you will find one which will post to the US. For example - Honeysuckle Cottage is mainly a mail order site here in Australia so it shouldn't be too hard for them to extend that a bit further. If you find something you like on the sites email them and see if they will do that. The other choice is to find a nice friendly Australian (waving here in Australia) who could take delivery and post it on to you.

Just thought I would say hi, and let you know I am happy to send all your stitching requirements anywhere. We have happy stitchers all over the world who shop on-line at http://www.honeysucklecottage.com.au/shop/
Have a browse, place your order, put your feet up, with stitching in hand of course, and keep an eye on the mail. Just love that mail. Have a great day.

Wow! 21 drawers! In my next sewing studio I'm going to have drawers built in like yours.

I love Leanne's designs too. The list mom for my Redwork group is working with Leanne trying to find distributors here in the US. Although I see the post from Honeysuckle Cottage. I may have to check them out.

Darlene that closet just looks way too organised. I really think you should get in there and mess it up a bit. Nobody should be that organised!!LOL
Leanne's designs are great. I have done some myself and love them. I'm sure you'll be able to get your hands on some patterns.

Hi, that looks really neat! Congratulations on making your sewing space "livable" :o) I bet you have tons of fun playing in there :o) And lucky you, having all that space to keep your stash!

I too love Leanne's House - Funny thing: I ordered her book "Living the Dream" yesterday - hoping it will arrive sometime early next week so I can enjoy it during Easter :o)

The closet looks great. Such a good feeling to find what you need.

I also see that Honeysuckle Cottage contacted you so you can order Leanne's designs. Life is good.

Yes why is it that all these ladies from other countries order from the US all the time, but I"m scared to death to order something from Australia or the UK? I always make my friend who lives in AU buy it and send it to me!

Gosh Darlene, I would love to have 21 drawers in my sewing room! It looks like you've made wonderful use of your space ... I don't think I can show anyone my sewing area right now ... it looks like a fabric explosion in there!
*hugs*

Thanks for showing us your nicely organized closet. I wish I had drawers too!

I've seen ad's for Leanne's patterns but never ordered them. A friend did order them and I think it was very expensive but maybe that's just because we are in Canada. Don't know.

It seems that Leanne's House is becoming more and more popular here in the US. I'm the list mom that sweet p mentioned.
Leanne has given me the contact information for anyone interested in stocking her patterns and books. So sad that we can't get the Aussie designers products here in the US. So if you know of a store that would be interested in stocking her line, let me know and I'll pass the information on to you.
If I were still in Aussie I'd offer to send it to you, but alas I'm now in the US. Honeysuckle Cottage is a well known store and one that Leanne reccomends to those of us overseas.
