Baskets of Leftovers

I couldn’t stand it – I had to do it! I had to work on my “tisket, tasket, cute little basket” quilt and finish it! YeeHaw!

This pattern is actually called Mojo and it’s by Carrie Nelson/Miss Rosie’s Quilt Co. However, in my home it’ll be called “Baskets of Leftovers”. Why? Well, I’m really proud of myself as I didn’t have to purchase one piece of fabric – this quilt is done with partial fat quarters and such from other projects. I had yardage for the borders and I might have enough yardage in pieces/parts to do some creative piecing for the backing. We’ll see!

Now, it’s time to think about the next project. I love to sew, don’t you?

Oh Darlene, that is so pretty! I love that you used scraps and left over FQ's! The colors are just perfect! Baskets are something I have always had on my mind to get to and might soon!

Oh, it is such a wonderful quilt! The print you used for the border has always been one of my favorites. I think I have a bunch of it in the red colorway for a quilt border one day. Baskets from triangles are some of my favorite blocks - yours are so nicely scrappy!

That turned out really great! Love that border fabric--I think I have some in my stash! The Miss Rosie patterns are a lot of fun and they're perfect for "scrappy."

What a beauty...what a great way to use up leftovers. When it's done it will be just the kind of quilt to curl up with.

OH! Darlene, this is just beautiful!

All our stuff has arrived and we're in our new Marana(Tucson) home. How far are you?

So, Ms. Speedy Quilttop Gonzales (SQG from now on is how I will refer to you! lol) what's next? Do you quilt theses babies yourself or do you send them out to be quilted? That quilt would look beautiful in my old home! ;o) Need a project, I could send you some of mine! ;o) Keep well and happy quilting!

Scrappy quilts are just the best. While they are wonderful in their own right, they remind me of the quilts that came before. I think I spy several fabrics in yours that have passed this way. Just love it!
