It's Just Too Hot!

Yesterday we broke a record - 14 consecutive days with triple digit temps - ugh! So, what's a girl to do? Well, stay inside with the a/c and sew the day away. :-) Yes, another 'instant gratification' project. "IG" projects are really good for the quilting soul - you get to cut fabric and just sew to your heart's content without regard for much.

I used a Snippet's layer cake by American Jane and Moda (all 42 layer cakes - woohoo) to make these ginormous snowballs! The picture is awful - would have better to spread the flimsy on the floor - hmmm!!!

Two fun days in my sewing room but today I must wander out into the heat. Life must go on! :-)

So as I skip away humming "Another one bites the dust", I wish you a good day and remain..........

In Friendship!

Cheerful number and you really have been putting pedal to the metal. Get on that sunscreen before heading out!

I love your snowballs! Although they would melt in your heatwave...:) Have a wonderful day!!

I do not miss THAT kind of heat. I grew up in the Southern CA desert and now I go back home to visit and melt. I'd have so many quilt tops from never leaving my a/c. Another great quilt.

I'm new to quilting and a little naive. Is a flimsy just what you call the quilt top? Now when you quit laughing at please stop by and give me the answer, LOL! I also just posted about a give-away my friend Nicole is doing. Cindy

For us it is not non-stop heat, it seems to be non-stop rain. Alas, the sun is coming through this afternoon. I love your quilting finish! Thank you for sharing!

Love the quilt and I am feeling your pain with the heat.. we had that this summer just gone in australia.. now we have the opposite, no sun since bloomin' april 22nd.. it has rained every freaking day for a MONTH.. is it a surprise we have flooding about 5 hours north of here??? and I mean 5000 people evacuated from towns etc.. scary stuffs..
