Miss Rosie Cover Girls
*
A couple of months ago Carrie of Miss Rosie's Quilt Co fame contacted Carol (aka Brown Quilt 4 Me) and I to ask if we'd be interested in making two versions of one quilt pattern. Yes, yes and yes! ;-)
I used a fat quarter bundle of Garden Flowers by Blackbird Designs for Moda and Carol used Simple Abundance Honey Buns by Bonnie & Camille for Moda.
Carol has been referring to us as Miss Rosie Cover Girls - LOL - thank goodness we were not required to wear bikinis. LOL (be afraid, be very afraid)
Here's a picture of my version and Carol will post hers on her blog soon. (she's visiting her cute grand children for a few days)
I love this quilt - it has a very vintage feel; like something found in an attic trunk. Huge sigh!!
Carrie, thank you so much for inviting me to do another quilt for you and it's fun to be a Miss Rosie Cover Girl with my good friend, Carol. :-)
I appreciate your visit - please stop again soon.
In Friendship!

Beautiful quilt!I love the vintage feel to it.
Congratulations! Your work is gorgeous!
It feels loving but not old, with that dusty(colour not lack of cleaning) way!
I saw your quilts on the Charming Chatter blog. Congratulations to the Cover Girls.
Love this...a pattern I'll definitely be making!
love your version and can't wait to see Carol's!
I saw the pics over at Kelly's and I loved it!! Love them both! Kudos to you and Carol for such a great job!
Darlen, your quilt is fantastic. I could see me making this quilt.
Oh, Darlene! That's quite yummy!
Well, how fun is that! Stunt quilting for Miss Rosie :-) Love your version of the pattern. It does look warm and inviting...as well as inspiring. Nice modeling :-)
Congratulations Darlene... your quilt is gorgeous! I am so in love with the pattern and the vintage look.
You make such a pretty "cover" girl~~!!
You lucky girl. And the quilt is wonderful. Would love to see it in person, there's so much there. Congrats on being a Cover Girl :).
Very nice! I love your fabric choices.
Hi Miss Cover Girl Darlene ~ :) You did an excellent job...how beautiful! I especially like quilts that have a pieced border like this one. Congratulations on a very nice project!
Another winner for sure, Darlene. Anything with a vintage look to it just tugs at my heartstrings.
Have you started saving your change yet? I'm waiting! *wink*
Wow, Ashcombe is a beauty, Congratulations!
I think you could use any style or color combination for this project and get a lovely quilt.
Would you say this project was fast and easy, fun but took some time, or troublesome and time consuming?
I'm hoping for fast and easy, but it's so pretty I'd pretty much go with troublesome if I had to!
Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful! Congrats on being a Cover Girl!
Very nice indeed!!
Congratulations to the "cover girls". That quilt is just over the top stunning....I love it!
Oh so gorgeous!!!!! No wonder you're a Cover Girl, Darlene!
Interesting pattern. It has a modern feel to it and will surely be a popular design. Miss Rosie is lucky to have a good friend like you:)

I came back for another look. What size blocks are they? I just love how she does her borders.
This is so exciting! YOu must have been tickled to be asked to sew for Miss Rosie/Carrie! I would have thought I'd died and gone to heaven! I'm so happy for you....and the beautiful quilt is an added bonus!
Vintage modern. Love it. Good for you. It turned out great.
Love, love, love it, Darlene! I can see this in so many colorways! How fun to sew for Carrie!

OMG it is absolutely gorgeous! and that is my favorite fabric for the day! I can't think of two more gorgeous cover girls! You guys are bringing the quilting profession to a brand new level LOL
It is so neat to see how one pattern can be changed so easy. You are definitely worthy of Cover Girl status. Perhaps you should change your blog name!
I am so honored to know not one, but two cover girls! I was so lucky to get to see the quilts in person - and they are gorgeous! You girls are awesome quilters!
How fun! And what pretty quilts! Can't wait to see Carol's, too.
Great quilt! How fun to be doing some secret sewing~ but I'd worry about that reputation as a 'cover girl' getting out! LOL :-))
