Final Update
Cindy Lou Who - Done!
*

It's 6:00 PM and I have finished Cindy Lou Who! Rather than continue to ponder and overthink the borders you can see what I opted to do. I think it will be adorable during the Christmas season on a table with a small Christmas tree or one of my Santas. The best part - it's done! Wahoooooo!!!!!

I've had a fabulous day sewing with the Charming Girls. Thank you Kelly & Carol for hosting.

I'm off to grab my Netbook laptop computer to sit and visit with all of you.

Update #3

Cindy Lou Who
*
The center of Cindy Lou Who is finish - woohoo! I don't have any yardage of these prints so I'm not sure what I'm going to do about an outer border. Piano keys might be the best idea but I'm not sure I have enough fabric. I'm off to ponder!
*
I hope you've had as much fun today as I have. I really love my results. I promise to visit everyone to see what you've done today. :-)

Update #2

Cindy Lou Who

I'm so excited - I'm loving it!!!!

Be back soon............................

Update #1
Cindy Lou Who

*

I'm so excited I couldn't wait to share! I've been agonizing about fabric for Cindy Lou Who - grrrr! I had a major light bulb moment (don't you just love it when that happens?) I remembered that I had some super old Sandy Gervais fabric called Dear Santa. A couple of years ago I cut off half of every fat quarter to make charm packs for some friends who 'really wanted to learn how to quilt' - well that never happened. Sigh! Anyway, I pressed the halves I had and cut my own charm squares this morning and now I'm ready to start cutting the pieces/parts for the Schnibble. WooHoo!!!!

The lights! YUMMY!

The darks! More Yummy!

more later..........................

I don't have plans to sew anything specifically for Christmas but I decided to just spend the day with the Charming Girls. :-) Wait a minute I just thought of something - I'm going to be working on Schnibble Cindy Lou Who and she's from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas so I guess it is Christmas related. LOL

Have fun!

I'm not familiar with Cindy Lou Who but if it's a quilt and it's done in those fabrics then it's sure to be a winner.

Cindy Lou is so pretty! I love that fabric line. Why can't they just keep re-printing stuff that I love? You did a great job!

John'aLee said...

What a beauty. I love what you did with the borders!

Yvette said...

How did I miss all this fun you were having????

Cindy Lou Who is fab! Looks like someone was having a great time yesterday while her friend over here was doing straight line quilting. ;)

Darlene,

I really enjoyed watching Cindy Lou Who come together. I wasn't so sure of your containment border, at first I thought it overpowered the blocks, but once you added the final borders, WOW, it all came together fabulously! Congratulations, just in time for the final Schnibbles parade.

Wouldn't a Whoville cookie jar look perfect in the middle of that quilt? We must be on the lookout for one!

Millie said...

I know your quilt will be so cute...like all your other quilts.
