I spent the evening working on my Spools A'Plenty project and I'm truly lovin' it.
There was a near panic but fortunately it was averted. LOL
The pattern calls for almost 4 yards of the background fabric; my local quilt store only had 1.25 yards on the bolt and 4 fat quarters. I bought that thinking I'd find the rest on line. The joke was on me - no one seemed to have it stock. After a little more searching I found it at Thrifty Needle - whew! LOL

Two rows down/two to go - woohoo!!!
I haven't worked with Fig Tree fabrics in a quite awhile so this is a nice change.
I'm meeting a friend first thing in the morning and when I get home I'm planning to sew the day away. Won't finish this baby but I'll get as far as I can.
I hope your days have been pieceful.
In Friendship!

It's gorgeous!
I must get onto my fig tree kit, yours looks beautiful.
Looking good! Thank goodness you found the fabric on line. Have a nice weekend.
Every time I see Fig Tree fabric used in a quilt, I seem to like the look so much. Then I wonder why, when I use it, I am not happy with the result and I give the quilt top or blocks to a friend. I had quite a bit of Fig Tree fabric and passed it on to a friend to use. Yet I am still tempted by it. Darlene, I so like your Fig Tree quilt that you are working on.
When I am searching for a fabric I need to match up like you were doing, Thrifty Needle often comes up in the search.
You should sing out if you're short on something. Who knows? *Someone* may have it in their stash! :) Love the spools!
Love the way you little spools quilt is coming together. Have a happy sewing day, it's my plan also, hope "life" doesn't ruin my plans.
I have been searching for some background fabric for my row quilt I am doing with Bee in my Bonnet. No luck so my quilt might be short a row or two. Love your spools.
Very soft and pretty, Darlene. May I ask what quilt shop you frequent?
