Quick and Easy

I had plans to sew all day on Saturday! I was able to sew most of the day and then this morning I completed my task. (the quilt on the right). It's for a friend for her birthday on Friday. I'll need to quilt and bind it this week. This quilt reminds of the Turning Twenty quilt - looks really "flat and unappealing" until you quilt it. Suddenly it comes to life! :-) I hope this one will spring to life when I quilt it.

Thought for today: Love what you do and do it with all your heart!

Popsicles and a quiet Sunday

Oh I"m sure it will come to life - I love the fabrics and colors. And I love the pattern - so it is a turning 20 pattern?

That's another terrific quilt, Darlene. What is the pattern called? Can't wait to see it quilted.

I'm not sure I'd call it "flat and unappealing". I rather like it. :-)

The colors are great, and it's quick~ the quilting will make the quilt.

Your colours is so delicate. And when the quilting is done, I know it will be georgius. The quilting does the whole quilt.

I like this pattern - I have seen a few quilts from it. One was a Japanese quilt with bright colours for the big pieces and indigo prints for the bars. It looked great.
I love the Stars quilt - I really love the colour placement to get the diagonal stripes. Might have to put that one in my To Do book!

You are a quick sewer! I love quilts that step like this so you don't have matched seams. Not boring a flat at all. I think the qu8ilting will make it come alive!

I don't think it is flat at all. It is a good pattern to show off the fabrics. What a nice birthday gift.

It has definite possibilities--did you tell the pattern source or something you came up with?
