Calgon Take Me Away!
Since the first of the year we've been experiencing some challenges in our little corner of the world. Can you say stress? Today was a really bad day and I was ready to run away! I thought about going to see Nadine in Belgium; May Britt in Norway; Tazzie, Cynthia and Leigh in Australia; Wendy in British Columbia; Gail in Ontario and I even considered just getting in my car and just driving!
Then I decided I'd just stay home and continue to deal with the "stuff". Ugh!!!!!!
Thanks for letting me vent!

Oh, dear, I'm so sorry that you're getting in those worries....and you would be so warmly welcomed here, you know that ! My thoughts are with you and I'm sending an e-mail right now, just to have "a cup'a" with you!
Big, big hugs !
NADINE
Darlene I'm so sorry to hear life is getting in the way...you can always come to Florida if you don't want to get your passport out :)
Your room is ready and I'll meet you at the airport :)
Sometimes things get so stressed at everything seems to be messed up. So you just have to relax end everything will be OK.
HUG HUG
Hope your stresses go away fast. I'm sure there are places all over the world where you would be welcome. Oh the joys of Blogging!
So sorry to read that life is challenging. If you do decide to go to Gail's, do make a pit stop at my house. I'm right next to the Canadian border. I'll light a fire in our wood stove and we can sit and enjoy a good bottle of wine with some delightful hors d'oeuvres while we watch the weather outside.
Darlene, i'm so sorry to hear you are also having a stressful time. I keep thinking to myself things will get better and our worries can't last forever. Sending a ((hug)) from me to you. By the way, if you need to get away from it all you are more than welcome to come down to Australia.
I am definitely within driving distance, so pack 'er up and come on over to TN! I'll be watching for you--I'll even keep dinner warm til you get in!! Don't forget the fabrics!!! LOL Hope today will be a better one for you, girlfriend!
Gosh! Don't try to drive to those across the pond 8^) you'll get WET!
You could always come down and help me unpack boxes!! (Thought that would re-direct you back to your tasks at hand fast!
A phrase I just recently heard thought you could use it "Lots of things to think about but nothing to worry about". Looks as though you have lots of friends and places to go so chin up and don't worry it will all be okay. "WE" are here for you.
Come on out to California Darlene. I think you should have come out to my retreat last weekend. Next time, I won't joke around about it!
Just remember the Serenity prayer--if you can't control the situation, all the worrying in the world won't make a difference. I hope the situation changes soon, and for the better.
I'm so sorry to hear things are not going well right now. We will always be here to listen if you need more venting.
Big HUGS!
(((HUGS))) to you! And vent away whenever you need to. Come one down to Texas and I'll show you such a good time you won't have time to think about those worries back home.
Sorry to hear you were going to go away, but what a fun trip that would be to go all those places! That could be fun!
Darlene I hope today is a much brighter day for you. Now if you decide to go to any of those wonderful places let me know and I'll tag along and leave my stress's and worries here in Oklahoma.
Hugs
Linda
You can vent here anytime and we'll all listen! ....And this, too, shall pass. Hang in there!
Oh man . . . I just hate when that happens. Hope things are soon on the right track for you -- but remember I'm not that far away *s* Lots of fun quilt shops and Harper is always looking for a new pal to rub her belly *s*
Oh Darlene - (((HUGS))) - you're more than welcome to drive on up and see me. It's a little cool still, but I can have a sewing machine, tea and cookies all waiting to play.
Darlene, The Cape might be a good choice. The weather promises to clear soon and by June you can loll on the beach and eat bon-bons.
I hope today is a better day for you Darlene. ((( Hugs)) for you today.
Hang in there sweety! Try not to worry about things that have not happened yet.
Oh, shoot! I hope things are better tomorrow. Feel free to vent anytime. Take care.
Hey Darlene come on down. As I told one of our other friends yesterday by the time you get here the kettle will be on and the tissues will be on the table.
There are times when things really get us down and it helps to share our problems so don't be afraid to share away.
Email me anytime!
Big ((hugs)) specially for you. <3
p.s. you know chocolate helps don't you?
I so understand about stressful situations - I have been experiencing several life-changing events in a short time frame. Hope all gets better for you.
Sending you a warm hug!
I hope whatever is giving you the stress will solve very soon.
Going to May Britt's you will pass here. You are welcome here too. I can pick you at the airport. That would be something :-)
Sorry for your bad day. Come to Japan! Sometimes when I'm reading everybody's wonderful days and projects I get the feeling I'm the only one who falls into the dumps. Thanks for sharing!
Hey there Darlene hon, just stop on over, I'll put the kettle on. We'll giggle all your stress away!
*big hugs*
Tazzie
:-)
And here you had your awful day of stress and I totally missed my chance to email you - and now you are gone. By the time you return you will be relaxed and rested. Here's belated sympathy anyway my friend - I certainly hope you are now at the "pass" part of what I probably would have said on Monday - "This too shall pass." I have no idea how many times my mother said that to me over the years - and she was always right.
