Confetti Cake

I'm in love with Moda's Layer Cake packs - 10" squares go a long way with very little left over. Almost feels like you've scraped the bowl clean. LOL This is my second Layer Cake project and I plan to work on another one very, very soon.

This pattern is called "Confetti Cake" by The Pattern Basket. Great instructions but I'd forgotten that this block and I do not get along. If you see me working on this block again on a future project please, please stop me! :-)

I'm hoping to spend more time in my sewing room again tomorrow. I hope you've been sewing, too.

Thanks for stopping by - come again soon!

In Friendship!

Very cute indeed Darlene, I love it. I can imagine why that block would drive you a little crazy, all those little triangles ...
Have a great weekend.

This quilt is just adorable! I'm with you, I love those 10-inch-square packs, as well (or "dimes," as my LQS calls them)-- there always seems to be enough to put some punch into a quilt and not so much that you get tired of it. Your quilt looks just GREAT!

There's a lot of sewing in each of the blocks! It is so interesting how each block looks different depending on the fabric used.
It's a wonderful quilt Darlene!

Hey I love that. Its so cute. And who doesn't love to use up every tiny piece of the fabric bought with hard earned money! I guess thats why I love scrap quilts so much. I feel like I'm being thrifty. Well, until my next trip to the quilt store. Love the quilt Darlene.

Ah ha! I DO remember asking you about that pattern when you made it ages ago. I loved it, and you warned me that it was very fussy. Isn't it called Memory Block or something similar? I must try it sometime, despite you warning against it TWICE!!! lol The results may be worth the trouble!

That's a wonderful quilt. I can understand why this block would be tough. I like on point settings, but I don't know that I could handle that many blocks each set on point. Great job on it!

Man, is that ever a cute quilt Darlene. Sorry you don't like the block -- the end result sure seems worth it. And thanks for your wedding wishes for my little bride and groom!

Beautiful job on the quilt. I think I am going to order that pattern. I'll need to use more orange fabrics though.
