I live a very quiet and simple life; I prefer to stay home and seem to have hermit-like tendencies. Others don't like it but I'm OK with it. :-)
When I have to go out I try to make sure I have a list of everything that needs to be done as I'd rather not go out again for a few days.
Bright and early this morning (8:30am) I was out the door with my list in hand. After a fun visit with a friend and numerous stops I was home by 1:00pm - very hot and tired.
Why am I sharing all of the above?
Well, because I want you to know that I was busy today but I still found time to sew. LOL
After all, it's National Sewing Month and I must sew every day. :-)
This is Tea Party by Cluck, Cluck, Sew. I'm using Marmalade for the blocks and a wonderful blue/aqua pindot from Ruby for the sashing.
Wouldn't this quilt be beautiful in Jo Morton or Civil War fabric for the T's and red or black for the sashing?
YUM
I have finished all 25 blocks (5 x 5) but only managed to assemble two rows.
Tomorrow is a new day and it's full of sewing promise.
This fun setting reminds me of Bounce by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.
I wish you a pieceful day.
In Friendship!

i am very much like you Darlene,i enjoy being home, love your sewing, well done.xx
I'm SEW like you! I rarely like to go out and I know about compiling a list and plan to do it all so I can just stay in again. It drives my husband crazy as he seems to think I should be out daily! My big outing is USPS and bank. They know m by name. Lol. Kinda like Cheers!
Very pretty! I usually prefer to stay home too! :0)
Isn't it funny how so many of us have "hermit-like" tendencies? So glad you found time to sew :).
It does have a bounce in its design! Very sweet. I love my time at home too, but have to get out, if only for 15 minutes, each day!
Sounds like most of us are hermits! My friends and family all think it's funny that I stay home all the time. There are many times that I only leave once a week - and that is just fine by me!
Cute! I'm quite the homebody too!!
I'm a homebody too!
I am a homebody too! I love the softness and the blue/aqua that you chose for the quilt.
I'm the same way, Darlene - going out exhausts me, and I prefer to get it all done at once. It's been hard while helping my mum out, because I have to go somewhere every single day! But unlike you, I have no energy left over for sewing, lol. I AM taking some stitching with me this evening though, for while she's a PT. I love your gorgeous Tea Party!
I'm the same way Darlene. If I didn't have to go out to work everyday, I'd hardly ever go out! I just love being at home. o:)
I prefer to stay in also - lists are the only way I can survive having to go out - get it all done and once and return to my retreat - where I am happy with my crafts, my dolls and my sewing. Good for you - sewing every day. I've knit or crocheted most days - but that is not sewing - but it was fun.
Oh I am so with you...staying home makes me happy...out the door with a list, get it all done in one trip. LOVE your Tea Party! The blue sashing is yummy!
tea party is adorable, I too love the blue.
I have to go out to work but for me the best thing is every once in awhile I know I'll be coming home to an empty house for a few hours-that is such a treat. Nice and quiet for me to unwind and get a few things done with no noise.
I think I like to mix things up. When I'm home I don't like going out but then when I'm out, I could be gone all day. I don't like it when I'm out more than 2 days in a row. Not sure if I'm explaining it well.
I love that you've gone with a color for the sashing. It's looking so good!
I love staying home. Love it, love it, love it!
Gorgeous!!!!! I love it!!!!! Does remind me a little of Bounce!!!
Nothing better than a new quilt top, other than a finished quilt of course. I too like nothing better than being home, I hate running around and being away all day!
I'm a believer of having marmalade at a tea party - the perfect combination and your quilt blocks are proof of that! I may have to add that pattern to my list! As for staying home, I like it best when I can give someone else my errand list! Hope there's room for me in the hermit club - in fact, I'll run for president...as long as I can stay home. :)I'm all over the ranch, but that's home...home on the range!
