Today is the last day of September and National Sewing Month.
I didn't have a busy day at my machine instead I spent most of it on the couch being a slug with my laptop computer. Actually I ended up in the abyss called Pinterest. LOL
While cruising through Pinterest I tripped across a very cute quilt and discovered that it's in the Fall 2012 issue of Quilts & More.
After dinner I decided I'd spend a couple of hours cutting and piecing a few of the blocks. I wasn't sure what fabric I wanted to use because, quite frankly, it would look good in any combination of fabrics. After doing a little digging I discovered a fat eighth bundle of Reunion by Sweetwater Designs - bingo!
My final project for National Sewing Month in progress :-)
I'll be back tomorrow (Monday, Oct 1) to review and reflect on my silly self challenge for September.
I hope your Sunday was pieceful.
In Friendship!

Simple and cute, looks great with Reunion fabrics.
Nice pattern. Glad you get a little stitching in on the last day of the challenge. Looking forward to reading your reflections on the whole month.
Perfect fabric! I LOVE it!
You reached your goal of sewing every day. At least, it seems like you sewed every day in September. And created some wonderful quilts.
I don't spend a lot of time on Pinterest. Though it is oh so tempting.
What a great mnth you have had!! I sew enjoyed following along in your adventures (pelase don't stop). Love the quilt you are working on, I have been trying to come up with an idea for a fall quilt, this just might be the ticket
It is really beautiful. Congratulations on your challenge!
Great choice for your finish--they look a bit like striped flags:)
You are just amazing, Darlene, that is a very sweet quilt! I'm quite familiar with the abyss that is pinterest....sigh.
Strong work this past month! Look at all you got sewn and it must feel good. Your new project looks good with such a lovely choice for the fabrics.
I have also recently fallen down the Pinterest hole. Kind of fun though :-)
Can't wait to see your parade of quilts! You're an awesome quilter -- and lady!!
You had a very busy sewing month, I'd call it a big success! Love the new quilt you are working on.
You've been so busy - good for you. I've been sorting and cleaning - good progress but I'm sure, not as much fun.
You have been a real inspiration this past month. Thanks!
I made 2 of those 3 In A Row quilts for Project Linus in Sept. They go together fast and are very attractive.
Keep on Quilting!!
You were a real inspiration this month and I don't think there was anything silly in your challenge. I like this last project. Congratulations on making your sewing goals!
You? A slug? I think not although I have heard that Pinterest is a lot like quicksand. That looks like such a fun pattern and quick to stitch up. I like your Reunion blocks. I think I need to grab some of that up before it's all gone.
Looooooove this quilt! Must get this issue asap!
