Blog Friends!

Mother's Day ended on a very happy note - I had my first "blog friend meet". I had a wonderful evening & dinner with Nan of Quilting in DoxieLand. She's as delightful in person as she is on her blog and I can't believe how much alike we are - very scary. However, we definitely do not look alike - she's tall and slim and I'm short and fluffy. LOL You have no idea how nervous I was about meeting Nan - not because of Nan but because I actually prefer to remain a mystery (you'll never see pictures of me on my blog). We had a wonderful dinner, lots of giggles and laughs and then the evening was over. Sigh! Hopefully, someday we'll get to spend alot more time together.

A couple of weeks ago I received a sweet package from Cheryl at Polka Dots and Rickrack. She made this Ditty Bag especially for me - woohoo! Isn't it adorable? The pattern is by Monica of Happy Zombie. Cheryl, thank you so much!!!!

I have finally managed to do a little sewing for me. Working on my Prairie Paisley blocks but I won't bore you with more pictures of that project. I'll wait till the entire quilt top is done.

I hope your Mother's Day was fabulous and that you're having a wonderful week. Thank you for visiting - come again!

In Friendship!

And how lucky you are to get that nice gift. What are you going to tuck in the ditty bag?

Funny - some days I want to be incognito, others, I want to be out there for the world!

Lovely gifts. The bag gives me some new ideas. Thanks

I'm camera shy too. I just think the mistique is way better than the real thing.

Ah, a kindred spirit! I blogged for over a year before I posted my photo and then I then I waited for quilter stalkers to get me..ha ha. I've had a few odd e's from time to time, and more than a few comments I should have deleted AND I met...for the first time...4 other Oregon quilters at Marathon Cher's home in Portland this April...see my April 21 post for 4 of the 5 of our photos ;) We had fun, but yes...you have to 'brave up' to 'face up' to online friends! And then you end up having such fun!!! Good for you, Darlene!!!
