Sewing & Tagging

I've been flitting from jelly rolls to layer cakes to fat quarter bundles attempting to decide on my next project! I don't have a project cut and ready to sew; an applique project prepped and ready to sew; or an embroidery project traced and ready to be stitched. Sigh! I said to my DH this morning that I hate when I'm in this phase of my sewing. As I stood by the door to his office I watched as he opened my blog and said "I hate it when you're in this phase of your sewing" LOL - guess this phase makes for a very boring blog. teehee! I then turned on my heel, walked into my semi-tidy sewing room and pulled out my Fresh Squeezed jelly roll - cutting and sewing has commenced! WooHoo!

Nanette at Freda's Hive has tagged me to answer 6 questions on my blog. Says she wants to know a little more about me - goodness I hope she's not too bored with my answers. :-)

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?

Ten years ago I was deep into my career as a Director of Human Resources for a national credit counseling agency and loving every minute of it.

2. What 5 items are on my "to do" list for the day?

Off to stay with my 4 year old grandson, Eli while my DD goes to the "girl doctor" (Eli's words - LOL)
Do some sewing
Watch the D'backs later today
Post office to mail some small packages
Look at the work I have here at home (just not interested right now)

3. What are my favorite snacks?

Caffeine Free Diet Coke and Cheez Its

4. What would I do if I were a billionaire?

Share with our children so life could be a little easier for them. And then look around to see where else I could provide assistance.

5. What are the places I have lived?

Texas
Massachusetts
Washington state
Arizona
Okinawa, Japan
Germany

6. Who are some people you would like to know more about?

My father's family. He and my mom were divorced when I was very young so I know very little about that side of my family.

I'm not going to Tag anyone however if you feel inclined to share a little about yourself on your blog please do!

Time to go spend a few hours with Eli - I hope you're having a wonderful day! Thank you for stopping by, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your comments!

In Friendship!

Have fun with your grandbaby :) I just finished a table topper/lap quilt out of some fresh squeezed charm packs for my mom. I love it and now I want to make something for me! So I can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve with the Jelly Roll!

Isn't it a funny feeling to be between projects and the choices are endless. Your new jelly roll project looks like it's got you back on track. Have fun playing with Eli.

....Hi - just found your blog and have enjoyed reading .... I so know where you were at with that "nothing prepared" scenario!! I was like that this past week and to make it worse I didn't feel 100% so didn't feel like getting anything done....I wasn't happy...but am back on top now I think and have finished a couple of cushions for a friend's birthday...nothing like a deadline to hurry you along!! She would have been happy to wait, but it was her birthday yesterday and I wanted the cushions on her desk when she got to work....phew!! Two weeks off work now so I am hoping to get some serious housework happening first then into the sewing room with the slow cooker on downstairs!! I bought a fat quarter pack of the Prairie Paisley fabric - just love it - but haven't decided what to do with it yet....I will be interested to see more of your blocks......Enjoy the weekend...

Believe it or not, I enjoy seeing the beginning stages of a project. It isn't boring to me. I love the contemplation of which fabrics to choose. I find it interesting to see how people combine different fabrics. What can I say, I'm a fabric-a-holic. LOL
Aloha,
Lettie
