And then....

I started my day exactly I'd planned....I quilted my Halloween flimsy.
Small simple meandering is perfect for this cutie.

And, then....
I finished stitching B for Bells from my "Snowmen A to Zzzz..." by Crabapple Hill Studio.
B, C and I are now complete - woohoo!  :-)

And, then....
I started searching for a new project but it was elusive.  I'm telling you, nothing was speaking to me, absolutely nothing.  I looked through patterns, fabric, patterns, fabric, etc.
And then....
I had a fabulous idea.  I pulled out my leftovers from my fat quarter bundle of Marmalade.

And then....
I cut a couple of 2.5" strips of Moda Bella
(need to cut lots more)
And then....
I had little piles all lined up ready to sew tomorrow (Sunday).
I did make one block and I was even more excited about my new project.
I can hardly wait to share - stay tuned.  ;-)

It's the final week of September - National Sewing Month
Big Sigh!
There's so much to do in this final week - need to stay focused.  LOL

Enjoy a pieceful Sunday.

In Friendship!

How cool to have quilted your Halloween quilt before Oct. you certainly have some serious sewing bug. It seems just a short time ago your mojo was gone for sooooo long and now back with a vengeance! I'm be watching to see what these fabrics become. In the meantime, I'm quilting clients quilts like crazy since I must go care for mom soon.

I just love the bells block and all the letter stitcheries you are working on!
Isn't it strange how the inspiration waxes and wanes? You just have to be patient until the right idea comes and the inspiration floods in. I love when that happens!

Hope you are taking care of yourself during this extraordinary sewing blitz. When you hit a spot where it is difficult to find an inspiring next project it may be time for a sewing time-out, a good nights sleep and a little TLC for yourself. Now that you have the next project in your sight, it might be more productive to do things that are far removed from sewing even for just a day so you can rejuvinate and regain your enthusiaism & focus. It's supposed to be enjoyable not fast-paced competition. You have a whole week before Sept, ends and you already have a great Halloween quilt done. Be kind to your mind and Marmalade scrapes will be waiting for you patiently.

I'm going to admit it, I am so jealous of all your sewing time lately. I had plans all weekend to sew, and all I managed was to create binding *sob*.

Congrats on finishing your Halloween quilt and I can hardly wait to see what you've created with your scraps.
