Measuring, Cutting, Sewing

(repeat)

Yes, today there was lots of measuring, cutting and sewing. Made for a very happy ME. :-)

My Joyful Packages (aka Flurry by Kate Spain for Moda) quilt is officially a flimsy. And, guess what???? I have some yardage that I believe will work perfectly as the packing. Seriously, wouldn't that make a very happy you? LOL

Made with Joy by Kate Spain for Moda

In 2008 I signed up for a beautiful Designer Mystery BOM from the Fat Quarter Shop. I diligently made the first six blocks and then stopped. Don't ask me why. Who knows why I do what I do. LOL Anyway, not long ago I decided it was time to locate the rest of the block kits and get busy. That finally happened today! Shocked??? It's OK, so am I. LOL

I immediately cut and pieced block #7 with happy results. :-) I was going to continue in that fashion and then decided I'd just cut the remaining five blocks.

Wheee doggies - tomorrow I'll be sitting at my machine piecing these beauties. :-)

I'm looking for a volunteer to come help me dig for the finishing kit - are you available - anyone?

LOL

I wish you a very pieceful day.

In Friendship!

I have the same Mystery BOM and did the very same thing. I re-started the blocks earlier this year until I made a mistake, in the cutting, which left me a little short of fabric for a block. So then I put it down again :-( I love the fabric, so maybe I will dig it out, once again, and try to finish making the blocks.

I think 2008 was the year of the missing mojo that you later found under the bathroom sink. And if I were just 2000 miles closer, I would love to come over and help!

I absolutely love your cheerful Christmas packages and how great to have backing fabric that coordinates. The fabrics for your BOM quilt are just my style and it looks like the finished quilt will be beautiful with all the rich colors. It must feel really good to be so productive and accomplish so much this week. I can't wait to see the 2 quilts completely done.

My daughter lives nearby--I could send her over :) Love your Flurry flimsy and yes, it is always good to have a backing fabric standing by! I have an unfinished BOM that needs a good long cutting session too. It is on my list...

I love your Christmas package quilt. I did one last year but it's not completed yet. I've got the center completed and decided to do the border differently. I think I've changed my mind after seeing yours. I'm going to pull it out this weekend and finish it this way too. Thanks for the inspiration. Have fun with your BOM!

I have such a connection with you that it sometimes freaks me out, - in a good way. I made those presents last summer. They are my UFO challenge for September so I got them out last weekend and got the whole top done in 2 days. Yours looks amazing. I think you sent your energy my way. Let me know what to work on next!
