Sunday Sewing
:-)
I used the sweet pastel prints to assemble my latest hand embroidery project - Betsy's Closet by Brenda Riddle. I started this a few months ago when Brenda first introduced the pattern then set it aside. When I watch TV I have to keep my hands busy so out it came. LOL I plan to do it again very soon in redwork. Then there will be two - one for Shaye and one for Shaye's Nana (me). :-)
BTW, Brenda just introduced a new adorable pattern called "Benji's Pocket - In Stitches"
I'm using the Joy layer cake (by Kate Spain for Moda) to make a Christmas quilt or two. I saw Cheryl's last week on her blog and went absolutely bonkers over it. When I can't stop thinking about something then I know I absolutely must do it. Such silliness, I know.
This was a free project sheet on the Moda Fabrics website but it's no longer showing. I printed it out last year however when I was cleaning my sewing room I put it in a safe place. In other words I've lost it. Thank goodness Carol found hers and gave me the cutting instructions. Whew!!!
Look! More packages to be assembled. :-)
Did you sew today?
Enjoy a pieceful day.

Cute Xmassy project! Nice work! :)
I've had this Christmas quilt on my endless "to do" list for a while. I always enjoy seeing a reminder that I need to make one before the snow flies. Your combos of fabrics will make a festive one.
I also need something in my hands in front of the TV, but I've never done one as special as Betsy's Closet. I'll be checking it out. Thanks for adding to my "to do" list :)
Lovely quilt!
Here is the pattern (I think this will work)

What a sweet quilt - I love your embroidery! As for those Christmas packages -I made a quilt like this last Christmas, each package was a different fabric. I even have a Hawaiian Santa driving a speedboat towing a water skiing Rudolph. Too funny! Have a lovely day and sew sew sew.

Sadly, no sewing happening my house. I just can't get in there and when I DO... no inspiration. Sad sad sad. But you are working on some very fun projects!
