Pickin' Cotton

I haven't done much sewing this week however this evening (well, Sunday evening) I got a major burst of energy and worked on my 'High Cotton' quilt. It's officially a flimsy! WooHoo!!!!

As I was making the blocks I was second guessing my fabric choices and now that it's all done I'm beyond excited - I love it!

I ordered the border fabric for my '1930's Black & White quilt and it has arrived. All 25 blocks are finished so now I just need to start sewing it all together. WooHoo!!!

Thanks for popping in to visit - come again soon.

In Friendship!

Perfect quilt for the 'Dog Days' of summer-- can't wait to see it quilted... I can just picture it on a porch swing... I've been staring at that book cover since it came out. Great job...

I'd say congrats on finishing a flimsy but I think you and I are in the same boat.....lots of flimsies. I need someone to sponsor a quilting challenge....of changing flimsies into quilties (new word!)

I love your quilt! This quilt is on my to do list, I have the Simple Comforts book. Good fabric choices on your quilt. That's great about you getting the 1930's quilt done too.

You did some major sewing to get that High Cotton done. I know what it is like sewing the strips and all the squares together. It turned out wonderful. Your fabric choices....good!

Such a nice quilt. Love it. How big are the blocks? The little white squares look little.

Oh my gosh look at those teeny blocks. I have decided I need to work more on my precision. I know I keep saying that. But you can't make quilts like this without that skill.
