Thrilled!

Do you remember this 16 patch quilt (on the left) I showed several months ago? This is my pattern and it came about strictly by accident. I had these four patches that weren't playing well together so I made 16 patches...... and on and on and on. I finished the quilt, posted it on my blog. Carol asked me for the pattern - what????? - there is no pattern - well write one she said and I'll test it for you - what????? LOL! To make a very long story short - I looked at my quilt and sent instructions over a period of several days and her quilt was finished! (on the right)

I love Carol's quilt as much as I love mine and am thrilled beyond words that she wanted to make one. I can't help but smile when I think about or write about this little venture. No, there is still no pattern. LOL

I hope you're having a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping - come again soon.

In Friendship!

It is like a quilt along. How fun. It is interesting to see the different takes on things. I love simple designs. They catch my eye much more than artsy intricate quilts. This one is perfect. Good idea.

What a wonderful quilt. Wonder if a jelly roll would do the trick for this quilt?

Actually, Darlene, I've had your version of the 16 patch saved as "NEW" ever since you first posted it. I thought it was smashing, simple, AND a beauty! I'll make it one of these days. 8-)) I'll bet there are many of us with the same idea. 8-)

I have to jump in and say that I love that quilt, too. A great Pattern. If you choose not to contemplate publishing this pattern, just know it's really really enjoyed by a lot of us and maybe you could write it up and print it up and sell it to US! I'd buy it.

You should make a pattern, I would totally buy one. You could sell them on Etsy. Love your quilt.

That is so cool. You should be flattered and write up a pattern. Not much new in quilting so when a quilter sees a different pattern she jumps on it....lol

Great minds think alike -- I agree with everyone who commented. You really should do a pattern! Seriously! It's such a beautiful quilt and really needs to be shared. I'm just saying.

It's absolutely adorable...I just saw it on Carol's blog and didn't realize it was that quilt, but I loved it when you first posted it :) You need to write a pattern so I can make it too :) How's it going big sis? My computer has been down for awhile so I've got some catching up to do, I love everything you've been working on, as usual :)
