I’M SO EXCITED
I’M ABOUT TO LOSE CONTROL
AND I JUST CAN’T HIDE IT!!! ;-)
Late last week my Sweetie and I stopped by my nearest quilt store to exchange some batting. While we were there the shop owner told me that she had one fat quarter bundle of Allspice Tapestry by Fig Tree Designs/Moda and had it set aside just for me (does she know me, or what????) I got super excited and told her to please hold it till later this week as I needed to put aside some “play money” – she said “no problem, see you next week”. My Sweetie immediately offered to buy it for me but I said, “no, that’s OK, I’ll come back next week”. Needless to say I skipped out of the store with excitement. WooHoo! Believe me when I tell you I thought about that bundle of fat quarters all week end. They are truly gorgeous.
Then today I was going to go run a couple of errands – the bank, the grocery store, etc. As I was leaving my Sweetie handed me his VISA and told me to please stop by the quilt store and buy that bundle for myself. I still said, “No, that’s OK” – the man was insistent so I obliged and stopped by to purchase it.
Since I brought it home I have carried it from room to room so I could fondle it. Did I mention that I really do love it? That same Sweetie was teasing me and said that he needed to get a picture of me holding it (carrying it around) to post on my blog. Yes, he’s a regular reader and a "keeper"!

You lucky duck, he's definately a keeper. What gorgeous fabrics. If you can't find the right pattern, send them here I'm sure I can come up with something....lol....
I wonder if you will ever actually feel like cutting them. Still they look pretty just as they are. It reminds me of my daughter though - I bought some new wool and it is so soft she asked if she could take it to bed with her. Did you take your fabric to bed too, or just left it where you could see it the first thing when you woke up?
Wow. They look gorgeous. Until you find just the right pattern they will make a lovely decoration in the house.
Your sweetie certainly does sound like a keeper!!
Oh my goodness!! Look at that wonderful stack of fabric. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
What a man!!!!!!!!! And it looks like he understands what you need to be happy. This bundle is sooooo lovely. I understand why you are carrying it with you. Did you sleep with it too LOL Perhaps not, but I guess the bundle of fabrics was standing close to your bed
I get it completely. You are a kindred spirit!
Oooh! Getting jealous here, *lol* That man sounds very much like a keeper! Wishing you lots of fun with the fabrics!
You know it makes him happy to see you happy. That's a beautiful line of fabric.
I understand you,these fabrics look wonderful !
Not sure why, but scrappy Dresden Plates came to mind right away...
Those darn FQ bundles should be declared illegal!!! They are so adorable and addictive. Can't wait to see what they become!
You lucky, lucky girl!! :D It doesn't get any better than that, right?? :D Now, I need to see bigger, closer pics of the fabrics...they really do look too luscious to cut...just like my Flower Market bundle (that's still a BUNDLE ROFL). :D Can't wait to see what you decide to make with them. :)
Gorgeous fabric! Maybe after this month is over ... maybe!
Wow, lucky you, Darlene. Those fabrics have me drooling. I can't wait to see what you decide to do with them!
OMG - yes, he's definitely a keeper. Lovely - can't wait to see what you do with it!
Those are some of the prettiest fabrics Fig Tree has ever done (in my humble opinion)...I'll look forward to what pattern you pick out.
I think this collection is the prettiest of theirs yet.

OOH! I'd be excited too. Those colors are luscious. Can't wait to see what you do with them. And can't wait for June 1st so I can see if I can find some for myself. LOL!
I wish my shop made bundles like that...of course then I would spend way more than I should but what fun!!
Can't wait to see the project!
Aaackk! You beat me to it! I would love to get into a dialog with you as to how best to use that fabric group. IMHO, it is the prettiest group in a long time and I can't wait to get my hands on a bundle!
And, by the way, your husband sounds like one in a million!
WoooooooHoooooo !
Oh, I would have LOVED to see you ! What a treasure, Darlene ! (I mean, Ron, of course ! Lol)
ENJOY, dear ! And let us know about the pattern !
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Mmmmm - whatever you decide, it will be yummy *s* You've got a great hubby there . . . hold on - he's a keeper.
He IS a keeper! Mine is similar but different. He recently used MY Visa card for his doctor's appointment copay, and he recently offered to take a photo of me for my blog. That was when I had stuck my new sewing chair cover on my head and told him I had made myself a really large quilted shower cap. Needless to say, I declined his offer.
Oh Darlene....How could you??? I'm trying to be sooo good since the first car payment on the new car comes due in about a week and I'm trying to curb my spending....But I am DROOLING!!!!
I want them....I want them....I want them!!! Hopefully my charm pack club will be sending that collection out sooner rather than later :)
I cannot wait to see what you make with these :)
What a great hubby! It is great when they "get" your hobby and understand your needs.
He is a keeper...and I love how we all wander around holding and touching our new fabric. My DH says one day they'll find a cure for it, ....hope it's no time soon! Tracey
Yup, he's definitely a keeper. You're one lucky woman.
JUST WAY TOO COOL!
What a sweet hubby. The fabrics are gorgeous.
I just saw some of those today on a site and loved them! What a lucky lady. I picture you carrying the bundle around in a baby sling! Too funny!
Beautiful Fabrics! I just bought Vintage Spool's Primavera pattern. I need your fabrics! Can't wait to see what you create with them.
Seems as though you got a great husband just like I did....
Isn't it wonderful to spend your life with someone so thoughtful?
Oooh...lovely fabrics, and what a great sweetie!
Oh gad! That's absolutely gorgeous! I found a fat quarter bundle at the Fat Quarter Shop - that's a big collection and expensive! No, no Patti! - slapping hands here - remember your diet!
And what a keeper your DH is!
A little bit of fabric and we are happy as a duck in water. Your bundle is gorgeous and what a luck duck you are to have a special guy.
I just discovered this post... a little late to the party I know. But I am just tickled pink that you are enjoying the new line!! I think its my favorite that we've done so far. I really can't wait to see what you do with it. You seem to be quite prolific, what an inspiration! If you ever do a challenge with any of our fabric lines, please let me know. I would love to join in if I can or at least blog about it!!
Keep me posted,
Joanna
