Internet Woes and More!

We've been experiencing woes with our local internet provider - something about new modems and then an overheating power supply. Oh, please just fix it already. I've been in the middle of doing something and then suddenly "I'm outta here" - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr My DH has been on-line for quite awhile this morning so I've decided that I would try to get some e-mail answered and post an update here.

I've been visiting quite a few blogs when I can and have been met with the dreaded RED X in so many pictures that have been posted. I don't know why but it's frustrating. Somewhere I've lost a "cookie or two" so I can't see what you've all been up to. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR So, if I don't leave a comment know that it's because I can't see what you've done. I'm sorry!

On the quilting front I have nothing new to show. I did finally finish block #3 of my Country Cousins BOM but I've gotten so far behind now - received blocks 7 & 8 yesterday and I have 4, 5 & 6 in the wings. I told myself that I would keep up with this project and I've been incredibly remiss. SIGH! I haven't even touched my sewing machine since I returned from my retreat over a week ago. Another BIG SIGH!!!! So, I guess it's back to my regularly scheduled sewing/quilting slump. :-(

Thought for today: Seize the day!

You know, I always sew, sew, sew on retreats and love it, but when I get home I have a hard time getting back into the swing of finding time and energy to do it! I think I burn myself out! I still love the stuff you got done on retreat!

Sorry about your Internet woes. I hope you're back to full function now. I always feel a little burnt out when I return from retreat, and sometimes don't go near the machine for a period of time after. Here's to hoping it's a short slump for you, my friend!

*argh* I think I have decided that BOM's and I must come to a parting of the ways. With the best of intentions I begin and it never fails that I lose interest quickly. Then struggle and struggle to catch up or finish.

I hate internet problems. It's amazing how addicted I am to fast, reliable internet service.

Hope it's all fixed soon.

Oh dear Darlene - I really hope that you get your Internet sorted out. It's been a really rainy day here today - you should have come to visit, I read that you too like rainy days to sew on.

Wonder what is up with this October? I slid right into that slump that you're in ... just didn't want you to feel lonely in there. LOL

Sometimes I think the internet is the leading cause of stress in the world today. Then I realize how much we all use it.

Fix a cup of tea, take a nap then sew a bit............

I get the red Xs most of the time. When it happens I click on the name of the block, not the post heading, and I get the photos. Hope this helps

I'm finding that red x a lot too! Annoying! (Especially when you click on it & that doesn't help either!)

I was getting that red x box also, but today things are fine. Well, except I had trouble loading pictures and then blogger shut down my computer. Other than that, no problem. I've learned to expect mediocrity.

Hope the computer problems clear up soon. Isn't it just a pain to come to depend on technology, only to have it fail?
