Just Stuff

See my new toy! Yep, it's my new bike - very similar to one I had when I was a young girl. One speed - ME. LOL I live in a gated retirement community with very little traffic and I'd been thinking that it would be fun to have a bike to "just ride". So, yesterday afternoon my sweetie took me to lunch and then to Wal-Mart to look at bikes. We came home with this pretty and I can't begin to tell you how much fun I had yesterday afternoon riding it. Oh, my goodness I felt like a little girl with the breeze in my face and my hair blowing. I'm so excited to have this new beauty. I'm a little sore today however I'm ready to get back on it later today! :-)

Quilting Update

There has been no sewing happening in this house! Serious slump however I feel that it might be lifting as I've have felt the urge to sew today. So, after I finish playing here, I might take a look around my sewing room and see what kind of trouble I can get into. Wish me luck!

Internet Woes

It appears that our internet woes may be a thing of the past - finally! Whew! I've been able to stay on-line longer than 10 minutes. I've been able to peek in some of favorite blogs but been leery of leaving a comment for fear that I'd get kicked out in the middle of my comment. I think I can get back to normal now. LOL The dreaded red X is still around but in some cases I can click on the X and see the picture. I hope that goes away soon, too. Not sure what's causing that problem. Ugh!

Gratitudes:

Quiet Sundays; a sweet hubby that spoils me; my new bike; and fabric that waits for me.

I used to love to ride my bike. Back when my knees would let me peddle. LOL! Have fun with your new toy. :-)

How fun--a new bike!! :D Makes me want to rush right out and get one too! Only I'm on a gravel road, but would make for good exercise. :D Hope your computer troubles are a thing of the past as well as your "quilt drought". :D

A shiny, new bike -- what fun. Our neighborhood is too hilly for bike riding. I love to be able to ride to the market and come home with the days groceries in the basket.
Glad your internet woes are smoothing out -- it was a rough week *s*

My DH and DDs bought me a bike for my birthday last year. I hadn't ridden a bike since i was in high school. But we have had some great weekend bike rides and look forward to more now that the weather is improving. Hope you have as much fun riding your bike as i do on mine :-)

So glad to see you blogging again.

Oh what fun...I LOVE the color and the lettering on the sides. I bet it's just the thing to tool around the community! Do you have a rec center? O love bike riding but around here you'd be better off laying in traffic...same effect!

I don't know about the red x's but hopefully everything will smooth out on the computer front!

I like your bike. Sometimes I wish I lived in a more rural area so I could ride a bike. Have fun!

Hi, Darlene, what an absolutely darling bicycle; had no idea they were selling such wonderful retro styles.

Such dashing new wheels....... Good exercise too....

After riding around you can take a break with a cup of tea and stitch a bit.

Cool wheels Darlene! My neighbour has a similar "retro" bike in pink. Have fun with it and it's really nice to read that your internet problems are all over with. (Hope I don't jinx that - LOL).

Love your new bike!! I ride my bike everywhere here in Finland - haven't bought a car. I love it - I hadn't ridden a bike since middle school. Not sure about it now that the snow is falling.... Enjoy!!
