Spring Snowballs (teehee)

(they're suppose to be plates)

Where’s Spring? I pulled this flimsy out from "the pile" yesterday and decided it needed to be quilted NOW. I need something that says Spring – actually I need lots of somethings that say Spring. Like so many of my flimsies I made this quilt a couple of years ago and it’s a pattern by Terry Christopherson and her book "Days to Remember". Please note that I found the binding and it’s ready to be sewed down. Still have not found the binding for Leap Frog (could it be that I didn’t make the binding when I finished the “top”???) HMMMM

It appears that I've been in a swirly mood lately - just noticed that I quilted this one with swirls as I did Leap Frog. :-)

We’ve been having temps in the high 80’s to low 90’s and this week end we’ll experience high 90’s. We turned on the central a/c yesterday – just couldn’t take it anymore. In the evenings it does cool off nicely but during the day it’s HOT. It's just way too soon. Please send "cool thoughts" my way.

What a cute quilt! I'm envious of your warm weather - not so on the east Coast today!

It's just darling *s* I can't take the desert daytime temps, but there is nothing like the evenings and early mornings.

We're in the 90s here, too, so no cool coming from me! Love the top and the swirly quilting! You do that on your sewing machine, or are you hiding a longarm in that closet? Great quilt! (It WAS one of my numbers, right? :))

Those are the cutest spring snowballs. Maybe I need one too to make it cooler here. We've had the air conditioning on also. Too hot, too early. This is not a good sign.

What a great looking quilt and great job on the quilting. Oh I'm totally jealous of those warm temperatures - up here we had a gorgeous couple of days this week an then someone turned the "spring" switch over to "winter" again and at the moment the wind chill temperature is a yucky 15ºF!!!!! My daffodils are pushing through the ground so spring really is just around the corner - I hope - LOL.

A cool thought from a cold Norway to you. The snow is beginning to dissapear here now, and the a/c still gives us heat. Have a nice week end.

I love the fabric choices and colors in this quilt. It is very springy. I will send you some cooler weather. We had snow yesterday that turned to sleet overnight and it's still sleeting this morning.

well as usual another beautiful quilt. I'm so glad you're working on some of your quilt tops and getting them finished.

I like the color of the background fabric. I'm still learning to use other colors instead of cream. I also like the floral fabric you have used in the border and how you did the border. And i also like the quilting you've done on it. I can't remember if i have already asked you before but do you quilt on a domestic machine or do you have a longarm?

I love your Spring Snowballs, who is the recipient?

Hmmm, I have a Jellie Bellies quilt in progress around here somewhere. I must drag it out and see how it is doing. It is all snowball blocks too.

I love the colours of that quilt, so fresh and light! We have snow forecast here for tomorrow, so if it happens I'll send some cool thoughts your way!

I just saw this pattern a couple of days ago and really like the simplicity of the design. I've been cutting out some 6.5" blocks for another project and actually cut double to make this quilt! Thanks for the inspiration!

You can have as much of our cool as you want! I don't think it got above 30 today, but at least the sun was shining.
