August - Done!

The August block of the 4 Seasons Primitive Stitchery from The Country Loft arrived yesterday.

Here's the sequence of events:

DH walks in with envelope
I tear open the envelope
Pull out the background fabric
Press the background fabric
Trace the design
Stitch while watching my Dbacks beat the Pirates :-)

Fast forward to this evening.............
Stitch while watching my Dbacks beat the Pirates, again.
Press finished stitchery
Assemble block

Now........wait till September for next block.

Color me excited!

My sister went home yesterday so life is back to normal in our home. It's time to settle down and do something serious with a needle and thread. :-) All the inspiration in blogland truly boggles my mind. I want to do it ALL. Sigh! :-)

I hope that life is treating you well. Life is treating me just fine! Thanks for stopping by - come again and often!

In Friendship!

Well you didn't waste any time! LOL! It is good when everything is setup and there are no roadblocks to just getting things done. Can't wait to see the finished project.

Hi Darlene
You sound like me. When I get a new project I want to drop everything and do it right then and there.
Hugs, Rhondi

Oh my Darlene, I have mine about finished too, well the stitching that is. I almost finished last night but my eyes kept closing. Then I have to do the stitching.

BUT, I somehow skipped the house, so I'll go back and do that one!

Good for you! Maybe I could learn a lesson from you....don't set it aside and get to it! I've been collecting Piece & Plenty BOM pkgs from Fat Quarter Shop for nearly a year now. I keep thinking I would take the time to actually start them! I think my mistake was applique....I still haven't figured out how I want to do them so there they sit in a nice little tub.

I am totally impressed, Darlene! What adorable blocks! My BOMs, ahem, seem to just collect...shhh... :-)

Great work on that block!! Oh no, we are major Angels fans here!!! We are going to the Yankee/Angel game Friday night.

I just last night put the last stitch in the spring blocks but didn't sew them together yet. I think I have a bunch of Summer ones waiting in the project box, I'm really behind on a ton of BOMs.

Just slow yourself down over there MISSY!!!!! I've got all mine traced but havent worked on one yet. I did finish the first section though. After that I fizzled out.

I love the primitive BOM, I might just have to sign up for it, I love the primitive stitchery patterns. I was reading that you made this while watching the Diamondbacks, and I thought, what - wait a minute where does this girl live? Yep, Arizona just like me. I'm in Glendale.

Love your blog, too, Darlene! I don't usually do embroidery/stitcheries a lot these days, but have joined a Stitcher's Angel Swap, so will have to get back to it.
'Bye - Lurline.
