Thank you, Thank you!!!!!

I asked for and received so many wonderful comments, suggestions and encouraging words regarding my struggles with my quilting journey - thank you! It's very difficult to express my gratitude via the written word - you guys really do rock!!!! I will be responding to all comments as the day progresses - bear with me!

I don't have a solution for my struggles and challenges so I'll continue to plod along. Yesterday I had reason to visit one of the local quilt stores and nothing tugged at my quilting heart strings. Sigh!

I have made some huge decisions regarding my stash! I tried to do this before and I didn't follow through - well the time has come! Starting tomorrow, Friday and every Friday until I'm finished I will be posting a ton of things that must be sold and/or given away. I've spent the morning taking pictures of the first batch of items so I'll hope you'll come back tomorrow to see what I have to offer. Lots of bargains!!!!

In the meantime, allow me to share another Truly Scrumptious block - this is Miss Evangeline. :-)

I hope that your day is filled with things put a smile on your face and a song in your heart!

In Friendship with Gratitude!

Beautiful Evangeline. I wish I knew how to embroider. I really must take a class. You are struggling with the same thing I am, "The Stash". I have tried so many times to downsize and I just can't so I am hoping you will motivate me. Keep doing that stitchery and the quilting will come later! Nancy in WI

Parting with some of your fabric. I think you might feel better after you do some of that. Get your stash in order and maybe you will feel envigorated and ready to stitch. New things should be appearing in the quilt shops soon. Maybe something will pique your interest.
Evangeline. She is very cute!

This little number just makes me feel all happy inside. :-) Parting with some old stash and making way for some new to get the quilt soul revived sounds like a plan to me. It's going to be fun to see what you want to part with...and we may try to talk you out of it. LOL

Good for you, Darlene - I've had to weed through too - mostly quilting magazines that I just won't live long enough to make what's in them. Time to be choosier.
I LOVE your block - those are really darling - talk about tugging at the heart strings!

Your Evangeline block is "truly scrumptious"....I miss stitching on my girls, but I sent them to the quilter last weekend. I am excited to see them finished.

I missed yesterdays post, but I do know how you feel and good for you getting rid of some of it!

Darlene, your work is exquisite! I just love that quilt, especially with the Shangri-la fabric.

I think that parting with some of your stash would be a great cleansing exercise for you.

Keep stitching, my friend. I love every piece that you do.

Hey, when I suggested giving it all away I was joking!! Are you sure there isn't some little treat out there that might reawaken your muse?

Sounds like a great plan! Get rid of the things you don't love and make room for things you do!
